Brushbot Kit Instructions: 1 Take a look at your : One side should have a lightly etched square and rectangle on it. This is the top of the chassis. Googly eyes Peel off one side of your double stick tape stripe and fit it inside the large rectangle. Grab your motor and center the spinny end over the smaller square. This square is the back of the chassis. 4) Make sure that your motor still spins freely, and press it down Pager Motor firmly into the tape. 5) Grab the blue wire from your motor, and twist the uninsulated section into a O or U shape. Press this down firmly into the tape.
Brushbot Kit Instructions: 2 Grab your zip tie, and use it to firmly secure your motor in place by wrapping it around the motor, through the two holes in the chassis. Googly eyes Zip ties only tighten in one direction: Insert the point end of the tie through the flat side of the opposite end. Tighten the zip tie and trim off any extra plastic.
Brushbot Kit Instructions: 3 Grab one of your batteries, and take a look at it: One side is completely flat, and has a + sign on it. Press this side down onto the stripped end of your blue motor wire firmly.googly eyes If you d like to give your bot some character, now is a good time! Thread your pipe cleaners (you can use more then one!) through the two holes on either side of the battery to make antennae.
Brushbot Kit Instructions: 4 Add some googly eyes to your bot, if you d like (and who doesn t???). Peel the paper backing off of the eyes to expose the adhesive, and press them onto your bot firmly.googly eyes Take the uninsulated end of the red wire, and twist it into an O shape. Press this O into the center of one of your dot stickers. The orange stickers work best if you re planning on doing some painting! If you find that your sticker is coming loose while using bot, just replace it with one Pageryour Motor of the extras in your kit.
Brushbot Kit Instructions: 5 Heat up your glue gun, (if you don t have one, any glue suitable for plastic will work), and get ready to glue on your brushes. eyes Take Googly a look at your brushes: They have slightly longer bristles at their pointiest end. This pointy, bristley end goes towards the back of the bot. Glue on your brushes, taking care not to burn yourself. Don t worry about centering them perfectly...different positions will give your bot different behaviors!
Brushbot Kit Instructions: 6 Press your dot sticker onto the top of the battery, and hold on as your bot comes to life! Googly eyes your motor doesn t turn If for any reason on, check to make sure that its wires are making firm contact with the battery. Also, be sure that the end of the red wire is only touching the inner most circle of the top of your battery. Play with your bot! Try moving the motor slightly to change it s behavior! 4) If you would like to paint with your bot, watercolors (liquid watercolors for the win) and heavy watercolor paper works best. Be sure to make a corral for your bot to keep on the paper: a cardboard box with it s bottom cut out should work fine!
