Sep 2, 2008 I can not remove anything from my schedule in the builder. I can continue to add things, but I cannot remove anything. I see that it is some Java Script function, but it does not seem to do anything. I have tried it in, Firefox 3.5x (Windows and Linux), Chrome 5.0.375.125 (Windows) and IE 8. All of them show the exact same behavior which is that nothing happens at all when clicking the "Remove from Schedule" link. I have also tried this from two different sites that utilize different service providers. Anyone else seeing the same thing? Sure is frustrating. Aug 3, 2010 1:49 PM yea, i can't either. i also noticed that my schedule doesn't go past 4pm on the "my schedule" screen, even though I have sessions after 4. I have a bunch of 500 servlet exceptions showing up across it as well. Guess its not quite up to speed yet. Sep 2, 2008 4. Re: Am I the only one? VMWorld 2010 Schedule Builder. Aug 3, 2010 2:04 PM My labs aren't saving either which is a bit scary since they fill up so fast. in response to: Tolga Tohumcu You should have the option to add sessions in the content builder which will create your schedule for you. Then you can manage your schedule from there. Aug 25, 2009 11. Aug 5, 2010 7:44 AM in response to: sava cristian I believe you are right but, if you dont have it in your schedule they put you on standby line and by the time you get there the class fills up and you end up empty handed. Aug 5, 2010 10:25 AM i had the same problem. You need to call support and have them remove it (1-800-365-2459). Otherwise, the first one will remain as your primary choice and when printing the second one will not show up. I'm still not completely sure if adding sessions to your schedule will help you to get in. They have said you are not guarenteed but also show that there can be a waiting list?? Aug 5, 2010 1:25 PM in response to: Tolga Tohumcu Tolga, you are correct - for last year and years past.. However, the format has changed this year, and there are NO pre-registrations for sessions. You can fill up your schedule with sessions all day long, but each session is first come, first served till the session fills up. If you get there after a session is full, doesn't matter if it was on your schedule or not - the schedule is simply a tool to help you plan your days at VMworld. 4

But now realize after paying all this money that I may not get into the sessions I desire. Or I may have to leave a session early to make sure I get in line in enough time to get in. The response that its being offered again is poor, because now I'm going to have skip something else that I wanted to see because the class was full earlier in the week. Its possilbe that you spend the whole time trying to get into a class, not making it, trying to rescan the catalog for something else to go to only to find out its full, repeat. I will be surprised if this works out. Patrick Brown 31 posts since Sep 10, 2007 21. Re: Am I the only one? VMWorld 2010 Schedule Builder. Aug 5, 2010 1:22 PM in response to: Chad Israel Yea, I'm not real excited about no pre-registration for sessions, but that's out of my control. In past years, I've never had a problem scheduling and getting into the sessions I wanted, but I know others have. At any rate, we'll see how it goes this year - I hope it doesn't turn into a disaster. Nonetheless, I'm still pumped about going! I'm an alumn this year! Rob Stierna 11 posts since Jul 21, 2008 22. Re: Am I the only one? VMWorld 2010 Schedule Builder. Aug 5, 2010 1:50 PM in response to: Patrick Brown This sure could be a disaster. I have reached alumni status this year and was exited that i would have good chance to attend the sessions that i would like. Now I am hearing that the traditional reservations in schedule builder will not be used. Scrambling from one session to the next only to find out that it is full will not be a good experience. Aug 6, 2010 12:11 PM in response to: Chad Israel Hi Chad, We're hoping that the way we've designed the schedule this year will prevent the issues you're describing. By reducing the number of unique sessions we spent a lot of time selecting the best sessions and making sure they were repeated at least once so that you're not having to miss other sessions you want to attend or having to wait in line and then be turned away. There are obvious benefits as well as obvious frustrations with having pre-scheduling and not having pre-scheduling, but through all of our strategic planning and research on other events this size, we think our attendees will benefit from this change. I hope you have a great time at VMworld, it's going to be the best yet! Thanks, Lauren lstevens 36 posts since Sep 10, 2007 25. Re: Am I the only one? VMWorld 2010 Schedule Builder. Aug 6, 2010 12:28 PM in response to: sava cristian Hi Sava, This is Lauren from the VMworld team and you are absolutely correct. Building a schedule is just for attendees to organize the sessions they're interested in, Sessions will be first come, first served. Thanks! 6

Re: Am I the only one? VMWorld 2010 Schedule Builder. Aug 10, 2010 4:31 AM in response to: Tolga Tohumcu I think it is also worth noting - that even though there is no official signing up for sessions, there is a benefit to building your schedule here (beyond helping to keep you organized): It is my understanding from previous discussion and posts, that VMware intends to use the numbers generated from the schedules they build to help gauge session sizes. For example, if just a few people set their schedule to include a particular session, they will host it in a small room. If there is an overwhelming number of guests intending to attend a particular session, it will be hosted in a large room. 7
So, it will be a benefit to everyone to build your schedule as close to your intention as possible to help VMware accomodate the turn out. Alan Enrico 27 posts since Sep 10, 2007 29. Aug 26, 2010 6:37 AM I have the exact opposite problem. Unfortunately all of the Labs I spent 2.5 hours over the weekend signing up for are no longer showing up on my schedule. The sessions are all still there, just no Labs. And I know I did it right because after reading this thread I logged out and back in a couple of times to verify and everything was still there. So that means I have to go back and sign up for everything all over again! 9
