We had the first Couple s scramble of the year, won by the team of Roy and Christa Bowen and Ray and Carol Smith with a low score of 55. A week later saw the Men and Women tee it up in very windy conditions to fight for their respective Club Championships. NEWS FROM Betty Gibson MWGA Representative We had some very fun events this past month. First there was the Beat the Pro Pizza Party. There were lots of gals who beat our Pro Craig and then we had a great time socializing over Pizza. Next was the Club Championship. Congrats to Jan Dubsky our champ for 2016. Then we had an Irish Shamble on St. Patrick s Day. Lots of ladies in green out there. First Place team was Ann Carter, Diana Hamilton, Marge Parkinson and Bev Race. Only one point away in second place was Jean Bailey, Esther Patterson, Carol Smith and Evelyn Weasner. We had another luncheon of Reuben s afterward and a good time was had by all. Helene Olchowick had the most fairways with a whopping 14. Below Par was played next and flight winners were Linda Hodgson, Coreen Corbin and Marie Marvil. In celebration of Easter, Coreen Corbin won closest to the egg and Linda Hodgson won closest to the Bunny. NEWS FROM Diane Christie, Entertainment Chair On March 9, 14 tables were occupied for Playing Card Bingo and all enjoyed Taco's, cookies and popcorn, plus a lot of winners. King, Bob Titton, Queen, Judy Ryan The King for the night was Bob Titton and the Queen for the night was Judy Ryan. The next Italian Playing Card Bingo will be April, 6, 2016. Due to lack of participation Danny and Johnny was cancelled for March 23, 2016. We will once again start the dinner and dances in the fall. Thanks to all who attend these events and support our club. New Member of the Family Diane Christie had an eagle on #10. Congratulations! That s the best Marie Marvil could do as an award to Diane. April Games will be Blind Nine with Longest drive #15 followed by the Member Guest Tournament. The last 2 weeks will be the Ringer Tournament. Changing of the Guards Hope to see you all out there.
