The wellbred daughter of Exceed And Excel remains open to further improvement and could take plenty of beating. Angel's Hideaway has been highly tried since her maiden victory and she arrives here on the back of a secondplaced finish in a Group 2 last time out. Aquarius and Scintilating were both eyecatching winners on their respective debuts and they cannot be discounted. ATR VERDICT: CORROSIVE has proven to be very progressive this season and comes here off the back of a good effort when only just beaten by Ripp Orf at Newmarket's July Meeting earlier in the month. He won over C&D earlier in the season and a pair of cheekpieces could see him improve further. Escalator has improved since dropping back to a mile and encountering fast ground on his last couple of starts with wins at Doncaster and Newmarket, both of them in good style. Crack On Crack On and George Of Hearts are both better than what they showed here in the Britannia and have plenty more to offer. Hugo Palmer's colt built on his runaway victory in novices stakes company at Carlisle when getting within six lengths of impressive winner Expert Eye in the Jersey Stakes at Royal Ascot and, with normal luck, he can figure prominently off 4lb higher. Flaming Spear is entitled to improve for his fifthplaced effort in the Royal Hunt Cup and has to be respected lining up off the same mark of 105, while Makzeem may come out on top of those who clashed in the Bunbury Cup, and Victoria Cup scorer Ripp Orf also warrants respect. Crystal Ocean has had the classic older horse approach from the veteran handler with everything in his fouryearold campaign built up to running here. He was workmanlike in the Hardwicke at the Royal meeting over C&D but he is more than capable of improving further. However, his stablemate POET'S WORD may just have his measure as he arrives here having produced a careerbest effort, when claiming the scalp of Cracksman in the Prince Of Wales's Stakes over 1m2f, and the return to 1m4f is no concern having shaped throughout last season as though it would be his optimum distance. Cracksman has proven to be disappointing since his return in the Prix Ganay having scraped home in the Coronation Cup at Epsom when never looking comfortable. That was also the case last time and trainer John Gosden wants rain for him to take his chance. Coronet went close to landing her first Group 1 at SaintCloud last time behind Waldgeist and conditions are perfect for her to potentially reward eachway punters, while it would be no surprise to see Salouen, third on that occasion in France, outrun his odds considering his recent form. 125 122 2 126 8 5 5 4 Top Tip: POET'S WORD (4) Watch out for: CRYSTAL OCEAN (2)

Victory Command has landed backtoback novice races over the extended 7f at Beverley and should give it his best shot on the front end, while Master Brewer appeared to relish the step up to 7f when landing a novice contest at Newmarket last time and could also take a hand. He shaped on that occasion as though a step back up to 7f would assist him. Robero has the assistance of Serena Brotherton in the saddle on his first start for Gay Kelleway having ran well in a Thirsk handicap last time, while Ghayyar and Call Out Loud look best of the remainder. Now Children ran well behind Hamada at York's Dante meeting and could have more to come at the trip as that was his first attempt at it in his short career, while Dark Pearl could benefit from the drop back down in trip having performed well over 1m6f at Sandown the last twice.
