We have had frost o oe occasio ad a recet cold spell that saw the temperature dip to 40 degrees. Cosequetly, the golf course has goe through some color chages. The grees actually have a purple hue to them as the stems that support the leaf blade take o a purple color as a result of the iclemet weather. That i itself does ot sigify ay damage, but rather it sigals that we are experiecig cold temperatures that our grees do ot appreciate. You are seeig areas of the grees that are beig saded regularly, this is to promote a fillig i where we have weak areas. I other areas that are sparser, we are pullig grass plugs from our ursery i order to haste the retur to full coverage. Curretly, we are mowig less frequetly, begiig our witer tree pruig program, repairig the irrigatio system ad attedig to other aspects of golf course maiteace.
