Download the app You can download the urbi app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store on your smartphone. The app is compatible with Android version 5 and above or ios 8.0 or later How to use our app on any smartphone 3
How to register Register your details to create your account. We use your email address as your identity so make sure that it is correct. After you have registered, our access page lets you see the different access types. Once you have chosen your access type, you will be directed to the payment page. If you would prefer not to buy an access straight away, press the back button in the top left hand corner. How to use our app on any smartphone 4
The urbi app The main landing page shows a map of urbi stations around your location. The number of bikes at each station is displayed. Zoom in to see more detailed location information. How to use our app on any smartphone 5
The urbi app main menu Main Menu Located on the upper left hand side of your screen is your main menu. You can see basic account information in the top left corner including your email address, security deposit and how long your current access is valid until. The urbi app Hiring a Bike From the map you can see the urbi stations around your location and the number of bikes available at each station. Select a station to see the distance from you, the number of bikes and the number of free slots. You can only hire if you are within a certain distance from a station. The urbi app Hiring a Bike Once you are within the proximity of a station and you have a current access, you can select Hire Bike to see a list of available bikes. Choose the bike you d like to ride. Make sure that your bike ID on your screen matches the bike ID on your selected bike. How to use our app on any smartphone 13
The urbi app Hiring a Bike It is required by law to wear a helmet which is fastened at all times while riding a bike. We supply complimentary bike helmet hire to all urbi riders. If you would like a helmet or a free hygienic helmet liner, simply press yes when asked if you need one. You are more than welcome to bring your own helmet. Please remember to lock the cabinet after you open it so that the rest of the helmets and liners are kept safe How to use our app on any smartphone 14
The urbi app Hiring a Bike Once you have your helmet and liner, it will prompt you to confirm your ride. Make sure that your helmet is on securely, the seat is at a good height and the bike is working. Click proceed to confirm your ride and start your 45 minutes*. If you notice something wrong with your bike, click the My bike is damaged button and take out another one. * All access levels give you 45 minutes of hire time. If you have not returned your bike after this time, you will be charged $6 per hour or part thereof. If you have a daily, weekly or monthly access, after returning your bike within 45 minutes, you can take any bike out again for more 45 minute rides. How to use our app on any smartphone 15
The urbi app Riding a Bike The code for the bike lock is shown in the bottom info tab in case you forget it. Feel free to use the chain to lock up the bike when you leave it for short periods of time. If you tap the timer in the top right corner, you can see more information about your hire. The urbi app Riding a Bike If you have accumulated extended use fees (i.e. taken the bike out for longer than 45 minutes) the timer will turn red. Extended use fees are charged at $6 per hour (or part thereof) and will be taken out of your security deposit. This will happen on all accesses so make sure you return the bike before you 45 minutes, even if you want to take it straight back out again. How to use our app on any smartphone 17
The urbi app Returning a Bike Tap on your nearest station to return your bike. You cannot return if you and your bike are not physically at the station. How to use our app on any smartphone 18
The urbi app Returning a Bike Follow the prompts to finish your hire. Leave your helmet in the basket when you are finished. If there are no empty slots, just chain your bike to one of the other bikes. One of our staff will be around to take it away soon. If you re on a daily, weekly or monthly access, you can go again for as many 45 minute rides as you want! How to use our app on any smartphone 19
Troubleshooting Forgot your password If you have forgotten your password, press the forgot password link at the log in page. Follow the prompts and you will receive a temporary password sent to your email. Use this code to create a new password. If you have issues with resetting your password, call our friendly staff at any time and we will help you with your account. How to use our app on any smartphone 20
Troubleshooting Damaged Bikes You should always report any damaged bikes so that we can make sure that all our bikes are ready to use. You can select the My bike is damaged, send through a photo and description of the damages. You can also report a damaged bike after your ride when returning your bike.
