Notice from the Newsletter staff! Due to some technical difficulties the April newsletter got lost some where out in space. We are sorry if I missed anything that any body was hopping to see. I know the Easter party pictures did not make it and some of the fishing pictures didn t either. We had to make some decisions based off of size. It is a newsletter not a book. Again we apologize Newsletter Staff. Entertainment Notes for May, 2018 Friday Night Bands: The Virginians play on the 4 th. This group has been around for a lot of years providing country at its best and with a steel guitar. John Richards is gone but the group sounded good in Mar. They are a very professional and entertaining group. Please note the delayed starting time. This is their last gig here till fall. Enjoy the night with the music of Voodoo Underground on the 11 th. Don t let the name lead you to think they are a metal band. Their engagements here have been impressive and those who enjoy country have also enjoyed this band. So for an upbeat night of variety music.. see ya then. May 18 th will mark the return of the band, Rewind. They advertise playing new & classic funk and 80's rock and sounded really good the last time they played here; lots of upbeat music. A voice from the past, Crystal Armentrout, will entertain us on May 25 th. After 20 years in Nashville, she has returned to her home area, having played at Lynn s Pancake House, Dice s and Mulligans s. January s gig here went from blues to country and southern rock. She and her band can play anything.

AUXILIARY SECRETARY S MESSAGE: By now, if you had not paid your dues prior to March 25, you have received a reminder notice from the Grand Aerie to pay your dues. It is important that you get them paid BEFORE May 31,2019! The Grand Aerie will be doing the expiration of members just a few days after that date. IF you are expired, you will need to go thru the re-enrollment process again. That means a $20 application fee with two proposers. One of the proposers must speak for you and then you will have to be interviewed and voted on. WHY go thru that hassle when you can simply pay your $25 at the bar or send a check written to Auxiliary 680 and mailed to me at 2202 Bare St., Staunton, VA 24401. PAY YOUR DUES NOW!!! In April we welcomed seven new members. They are Pamela Armstrong, Elizabeth Montana Eavey, Teresa Hey, Melissa Lawrence, Jackie Messer, Teresa Mize and Sarah Vetrano. Give them all a big EAGLE welcome! We need your help in keeping up with the happenings of our members. If you know of a death in the family, illness or hospitalization, please notify me or the bar staff. Remember our military and our sick and shut-ins in your prayers. Let s continue to be People Helping People! Notice Victor gave a BIG check and Hope gave a little one! Just kidding everybody it all goes to good causes no matter what the size of the paper. Yours fraternally, Pauline H Reese Secretary
