BEEF RULES & REGULATIONS 1. The ENTRY DEADLINE is November 25, 2018. Late entries subject to a $50 late fee. 2. The $150 entry fee must be paid before an entry will be accepted. Entry Fees are retained. Entry Fees provide you with an advertising benefit. Consignor s options will include listings on the Classic website with a link to the consignor s website. Consignors will have two personal marketing posts on the Classic Social media sites. This does not include promotion of your Classic Sale Features. This advertising option is for your own sale. Consignors will be listed on email blasts to cattlemen all across the Midwest. 3. Entries will be accepted online at our website: www.necattlemen.com Read the Online Instructions carefully before beginning the online entry process. If you have entered on line before, make sure you use your user name and password to obtain your file already in the computer. JUST HIT SEND ME MY LOGIN! After your entry is complete online, you must send in your signed consignor consent form, along with copies of registration papers and entry fees to the Classic Office (PO Box 607, Kearney, NE 68848). 5. Please contact Ronette at 308-627-6385 on the correct way to submit a picture. ALL PICTURES ARE FREE! Classic Management reserves the right to determine the usage of the picture. Pictures for print must be submitted with entries. On-line pictures can be added at any time. Pictures are highly recommended for HELPING YOU sell YOUR ANIMAL! All entries are eligible to compete in the Nebraska Cattlemen s Classic Supreme Row if selected as the Breed Champion. 7. All animals, unless screened, must sell. The sale commission is 9% on the sale price. A minimum of 50% of an animal must sell. The Nebraska Cattlemen s Classic reserves to management the final and absolute right to interpret these rules and regulations and to arbitrarily settle or determine all matters, questions or differences in regard to the show and sale. Breed Sales may feature embryo packages, flush opportunities, pregnant recips or semen packages. These sale features must be registered with the respective Associations. Consignors must be members of the Nebraska Hereford Association. Entries must be a Horned Hereford according to the American Hereford Association.. All eligible female entries must include a check for $50 made payable to the NHA for the Junior Futurity. The Nebraska Hereford Association charges an additional 1% sales commission this year. Consignors must be a member of the Nebraska Red Angus Association. Entries must be registered as a 1A or 1B Red Angus with the Red Angus Association. Heifer calves (born after January 1, 2018 and before August 31, 2018) must be entered in the NRAA Futurity to be paid out at the Junior Beef Expo and the Nebraska State Fair. All heifer calf entries must include a $50 payable to the NRA.

Consignors must be a member of the Nebraska Angus Association. Nebraska Angus Association Dues Must be PAID by February 1! The form can be found at http://www.nebraskaangus.org. Go to membership page to download the form. SIMMENTAL Judge: Ty Bayer, Lima, OH Auctioneer: Matt Lowery, Burwell, NE Breed Representatives: Greg Sisco, Ute, NE Diane Duren, Nebraska Simmental Assn., Rising City, NE The 2019 Simmental Show will be a fit show. Consignors must be members of the Nebraska Simmental Association. NSA dues are due by February 1. Dues will increase from $60 to $120 after February 1. All dues have to be paid prior to checking in Classic Entry. Entries must be registered with the American Simmental Association as a ½ blood or higher. (Non-Simmental Sired entries ARE allowed) Bulls must be born prior to March 31, 2018. All bulls must pass a semen test. Documentation must be provided at Classic check-in. Female age requirements are September 2016 September 2018. There will be a Foundation Show which will include 50%-74.99% Simmental and a Purebred Show of 75% or greater as long as both divisions have 25 head each. The 3/4 bloods will show in the Purebred Show. The NSA and the NCC reserves the right to combine the shows if each division does not meet the entry requirements of the Nebraska Cattlemen s Classic. Genetic status must be printed in the catalog. An EPD, weight, and scrotal measurement data sheet will be provided to the judge. The Classic show is NOT BASED ON THE DATA SHEET. The judge will have the choice on how to use the data. All entries must be clean of genetic defects. For DNA questions and clarification on genetic status of an animal contact the American Simmental Association at 406-587-4531. If the American Simmental Association finds the animal to have a CL, DL or PR in the ASA genetic defects that entry must be tested. Entries must be blood tested by January 1. Consignors must be members of the Nebraska Charolais Association. Memberships must be paid by check-in time. Entries must be registered with American International Charolais Association. The Nebraska Charolais Association charges an additional 0.5% sales commission. LIMOUSIN Judge: Todd Herman, Lima, OK Breed Representatives: Dan Hunt, Oxford, NE The 2019 Limousin Show will be a no fit show. Entries must be registered with North American Limousin Foundation. Entries must be registered as LimFlex (50% or greater). Entries not registered as a LimFlex or purebred, must be a registered as 3/4 blood or higher. Yearling bulls will have a minimum adjusted scrotal of 31 cm. Entries will be weighed and measured at the show. GELBVIEH / BALANCER Judge: Todd Herman, Lima, OK Auctioneer: Matt Printz, Elm Creek, NE Breed Representatives: Tom Murphy, Franklin, NE The 2019 Gelbvieh/Balancer Show will be a no fit show. Consignors must be members of both the Nebraska and American Gelbvieh Associations for 2019. Out of state consignors may buy a membership for $50. Entries must be registered as Purebred Gelbvieh or as Balancers with the American Gelbvieh Association. Heifers born prior to June 1, 2017 must be safe in calf or have a calf at side. Entries will be weighed and scrotal measured at check-in. This information will be in the show programs. GAIN is charging $100 per entry for the Jackpot for Junior National Division Winners. This cash award is for youth purchasing heifers at the Classic and showing at Junior Nationals. This $100 goes directly to GAIN.
BEEF RULES & REGULATIONS SHORTHORN Breed Representatives: Greg Crawford, Roca, NE The 2019 Shorthorn Show will be a fit show. Consignors must be members of the Nebraska Shorthorn Association. Entries must be registered as a Purebred with the American Shorthorn Association. No bulls will be accepted with a birth weight over 99 pounds. Bulls must be born prior to April 30, 2018. Heifer calf entries must include a check for $50 made payable to NSA for the Junior Futurity. Consignors are required to list the genetic defect status in the footnote of the entry. Entries must be TH tested unless the parents are verified TH Free. Results must be provided with entry. Shorthorn Plus (Division of the Shorthorn Show) The 2019 Shorthorn Show will be a fit show. Consignors must be members of the Nebraska Shorthorn Association. Entries must be registered as an Appendix Shorthorn with the American Shorthorn Association. Consignors are required to list the genetic defect status in the footnote of the entry. Entries must be TH tested unless the parents are verified TH Free. Results must be provided with entry. There will be a champion in each division selected, but the two division champions will compete for one overall Shorthorn Champion and Reserve Champion. MAINE ANJOU / MAINETAINER / MAINE-ANGUS Breed Representatives: Will Miller, Culbertson, NE The 2019 Maine Anjou and MaineTainer Show will be a fit show. There will be a champion in each division selected, but the two division champions will compete for one overall Maine Anjou Champion and Reserve Champion. Consignors must be members of the Nebraska Maine Association. Entries must carry Maine Anjou or MaineTainer papers. All entries must provide the TH and PHA status. Please indicate if Carrier or Free. Bulls are required to have a minimum scrotal measurement of 30 cm adjusted to 1 year of age. Bred heifers must be bred to a bull that is TH and PHA Free.

Entries must be registered as a Chianina, Chimaine or Chiangus in the American Chianina Association. Bulls must have a minimum scrotal measurement is 28 cm unless the bull has passed a semen test. Bulls over one year must have satisfactory semen test. All entries must provide genetic defect status results. The TH and PHA status is required. Please indicate if Carrier or Free. ALL OTHER BREEDS The 2019 AOB Show will be a fit show. Entries must be registered with a National Breed Association.
