Page 4 PRAXIS CARE SERVICE USER & CARER AWARDS 2011 2012 Praxis Care would like to recognise and reward individual service users and their carers who have achieved personal targets and demonstrated commitment to excellent services through involvement in Praxis Care activities. Q&A Who can be nominated? Any user of Praxis Care services, or carer of a service user. Who can nominate? Nominations can be made by any member of staff at any level, by a service user, by a volunteer, or by a carer. How do you nominate? All nominations must be submitted on an official form which is attached to this newsletter along with the categories. All parts are to be completed. All forms to be returned to a member of staff once completed. When is the closing date closing Date? Nominations must be submitted by 1st July 2012. Gemma s Recipe Corner Salmon and couscous parcel (Serves 1) Ingredients 55g couscous garlic and herb if possible 100ml of vegetable or chicken stock ½ tbsp olive oil Handful of chopped herbs e.g. parsley, thyme rosemary 2 spring onions, chopped 2 sun blushed/ sundried tomatoes, chopped 1 salmon fillet, approximately 140g Method 1. Put couscous into a bowl with the stock and oil. Cover with cling film and leave to stand for 10 mins. Add all ingredients apart from the Salmon. 2. Preheat the oven to 180 C. Cut a large sheet of baking paper and put the couscous onto this with the salmon fillet on top. 3. Fold the paper over then twist the edges to seal- like a Cornish pastry. Put onto a baking sheet and bake for 15 Handy Tip This can also be made in the microwave. Just cook the parcel for 3 mins on high and leave to stand for 2 mins Chicken can also be used in this recipe instead of salmon. Just bake for 15-20 mins or microwave on high for 4 mins and leave to stand for 2 mins.

A reminder letter will be sent out to all prior to this date. FLIPPIN ECK PANCAKE TUESDAY AT ROCKMILLS Pancake Day was celebrated with Sinead, Karen, John and Kevin making and flipping pancakes at Rockmills. Lucky for staff no pancakes had stuck to the ceiling!! Staff would like to thank all who attended this fun event.
