Horse Whispers Jessi Jessica Madison I N S I D E T H I S I S S U E : DC s Report 2 Grounds Key 2 Macclesfield Pony Club Newsletter President s Report Another glorious day for our Rally, glorious sunshine with a measure of wind to stop us getting too hot. We had a fun day with our instructors, a great chance for all riders to practice for next rally, our Annual November Challenge. I hope everyone got to have a go at the Handymount, it's usually the one that catches the ponies (or riders out!) Our theory session this rally was very interesting, with Paul Buckland, a local saddle fitter. November 2013 Unfortunately, we had to cancel our Grand Official Opening of the newly renovated Clubrooms. Sadly, this was due to a general lack of interest from all members within both clubs (PC and Adult Riders). It is very disappointing to think that so many people seem to have so little regard for the time and effort put in by a few of our dedicated members in this project. Without these peoples efforts, we would still be in a rat infested building and still invisible to the local council who now, thanks to their hard work, have us on their books for general maintenance, repairs and, hopefully, future funding. Happy and safe riding, Sam (Pres) Annual Challenge 3 ANNUAL CHALLENGE NOVEMBER RALLY SMZ Update 4 The Macclesfield Pony Club Annual Challenge is held at the November rally each year. Clubhouse: 5968 9545 DC s Report Hi everyone I hope you all have a wonderful time competing at the Annual Challenge. It is a great introduction for riders with little or no competition experience and also a good opportunity for the more experienced to fine tune their skills. Remember to check the rules on the PCAV website gear rules and competition rules. Things like knowing you are not allowed to carry a whip in horse trials grade 1,2 and 3 but in pure dressage you can..go figure. Dressage Tests can be found on link below: http://www.ponyclubvic.org.au/?page=2711 Income for December 2011: Access key for the grounds (dressage arena, hickstead, parking) is available to MEMBERS ONLY. Cost is $20 deposit, $40 per year. REPLACEMENT KEYS REQUIRED Sam The exchange for the new keys will occur at the November MPC & ARC rallies. I will make myself available at both rallies between 10-11am. Otherwise key holders will need to contact me directly to swap keys. The need to replace the padlocks & keys is due to a large number of former members who have failed to return keys despite numerous requests and the theft of the padlock from the dressage arena!
