, 2010 U.S. Amateur Championship February 7,2008 The United States Golf Association announced that Chambers Bay, would play host to the u.s. Amateur in 2010 and the u.s. Open in 2015. This will be the first time the u.s. Open will be conducted in the Pacific Northwest and only the second time the u.s. Amateur has been conducted in Washington State. (Seattle Golf Club, 1952)
E I 11 2010 U.S. Amateur Championship Chambers Bay will have the distinction of being the newest course ever to host a U.S. Open and a U.S. Amateur. It will also be the first municipal course to host the U.S. Amateur, and only the third municipal course to host the U.S. Open, following Bethpage Black in New York (2002,2009) and Torrey Pines in California (2008).
