1. Representation Mediterranean Committee of Associated Wrestling Styles CMLA Activity Plan 2018 The Mediterranean Committee is an independent auxiliary organ of United World Wrestling and follows the regulations which are applied to the continental councils. The committee brings together all the Mediterranean federations affiliated to the international federation. The Mediterranean Committee of Associated Wrestling Styles "CMLA" was created and established with the approval and under the guidance of the international federation and in compliance with its statutes and rules. In January 2016, in agreement with the Boards of directors at the request of the UWW, the CMLA has established Regional Committee. The office is the headquarters of the Federation of which is originated the President of CMLA. CMLA as an attached organization allowed the transfer of financial funds that was previously attached to those of the UWW. In November 2016, wax held in Madrid, the ordinary and Extraordinary Meeting to amend the statutes. In August 2017, during the World Championship was held in Paris the elective General Assembly which renewed the office and its board of directors. 2. Aims and Principles The committee brings together all the Mediterranean federations affiliated to the international federation. The Mediterranean Committee of Associated Wrestling Styles "CMLA" was created and is established with the approval and under the guidance of the international federation and in compliance with its statutes and rules. The CMLA has legal personality under national law of the place of incorporation. 3. Activity Plan This plan summons the main activities and development lines established by the CMLA Mediterranean Committee of Associated Wrestling Styles. 5.1. Board of Director s Meetings The BofD gets together one ordinary meeting every year, preferably during the Senior World Championships and, if needed, a second just before the Mediterranean Championships and also if needed, one extraordinary meeting. 5.2. General Assembly The General Assembly meets annually during the Senior Mediterranean Championships or Games. In 2018 the General Assembly took place in Tarragona (ESP), the 25 th of June. 5.3. Mediterranean Championship In 2018 the Mediterranean Championships were organized in Algiers (ALG) by the Wrestling Federation of Algeria, for Seniors, Juniors and Cadets in all the three Olympic styles, on the month of March (29-31). In summary, some figures on the success of the CMLA through the major event that is the Championship of the Mediterranean. 11 countries 99 Seniors, 91 juniors, 64 cadets (254 Total) - 62 women (24.4%) Most represented federations: ALG, GRE, TUN To note the effort of representation of Syria and Palestine 5.4. Training Camp CMLA organized a training camp for wrestlers in July in Komotini (GRE) with the collaboration of the Greek Federation and a French organization (WATW). This camp aims to improve and promote the development of the sportive, cultural and social exchanges between the wrestlers from the Mediterranean basin. 20 young girls from France, Greece, Azerbaijani, Bulgaria were able to enjoy this sports camp with endurance test, training and culture. 5.5. Following the reelection and inclusion of Ms. Teresa Mendez Mayo as active member of CMLA and under her guidance and the support of the rest of the Boards of Directors members, some promotion activities for Women and Wrestling has been presented during the 2018 General Meeting: A feminine tournament by team, the day after the Mediterranean Championships to improve the feminine practice in wrestling! 5.6. Commissions A call to all federations to propose their candidates to the several CMLA Commissions has been issued following this General Assembly. The CMLA appointed the members according to their abilities for the Commission concerned. The National Federations must be well aware of the travel expenses they have to bare of their members for at least one meeting per year and that all members must speak either French or English. 5.7. Internal and External Relations Over the year 2018 the Board of Directors continuing to promote and develop its internal as well as its external relations: meeting and establishing communication with the National Federations and Continental Councils (via either meeting in place and/or at competitions). 5
