4th Quarter Progress Reports Teachers - Please submit progress report grades today, by 3 P.M. Remember to make sure the A.P. grades are entered correctly. The progress reports will be distributed on Thursday.

Spring Pictures at FMS Spring pictures at FMS are scheduled for April 20th. All photos will be taken in the morning before 10:30 A.M. Having your photo taken is optional. All students that have their photo taken will be given a proof in a couple weeks. This will also be a district 186 dress code day. Students will be able to wear clothes that fit into district #186 dress code. To order photos online visit the FMS website a week after photos. A link will be available.

Spring Dance 2018 FMS is hosting a spring dance this Friday from 2:30 to 4:00 P.M. Activity buses will run after the dance!

Fire Drill Today During 2nd hour today, FMS will have a practice fire drill. Teachers should: Check on posted map where the class should move to. Make sure your To Go Bag is ready with all important information. Turn off classroom lights. Shut the classroom door, but do not lock it. Make sure all door stops are out of the hallway. Student should: Follow the instructions of the classroom teacher. Do not run outside, stay behind your teacher so they can guide your class. When outside, make sure you are paying attention to your teacher and stay with your class.

8th Grade Beta Club Meeting There will be a 8th grade Beta Club meeting this Thursday in the cafeteria after announcements. Remember 8th graders, 20 service hour sheets are due by the 20th, unless you are working the scholastic bowl tournament this week. Most members have their hours completed. Congratulations!

Beta Club Initiation All beta club members are reminded that the initiation ceremony is April 23rd, starting at 6:30 P.M. We are asking all members to be at FMS by 6:15. 7th graders report to room 105 and 8th graders to room 110. Students should dress nicely. Prefer : Boys - collared shirt and slacks - no hoodies/t-shirts Girls: nice dress/slacks/skirt - at appropriate level - no high heels NO GUM!

See Mrs. Jones or Mrs. Shaw for any questions.

This Week - Scholastic Bowl Tuesday: Scholastic Bowl match vs Jacksonville and Macomb at Jacksonville. Bus leaves at 3:15. First match at 4:00. This is a match for Team A and Team B Wednesday: Practice for 6th grade only. Thursday: Home meet vs. LMS. The meet starts at 4:00. Practice from 2:30-4:00 All members of the team can attend the practice. This is another Team A and Team B match. Friday: No practice as we have to prepare for the FMS tournament on Saturday Saturday: 3rd Annual April FMS Tournament. Students attending the tournament have to be at FMS by 8:30. The first match starts at 9:00. Lunch will be around 12:45. Awards ceremony around 4:30. This is an 18 team tournament with nine rounds of questions.

The Math Problem of the Day The first 3 students who work out the problem on paper and answer it correctly will earn a delicious treat from Mr. Knoepfle (Room 231)

Track & Field Team Info: Tuesday - Pleasant Plains Relays: Only students participating in the relays on Tuesday will ride the bus and wear uniforms. Wednesday - FMS Meet At Southeast Track All students will be participating in meet on Wednesday. All participants will ride the bus and wear uniforms. Thursday - Practice after school Friday - No Practice Washington Warrior Invite: Saturday, April 21 Track meet starts at 9:30 At Southeast. Students are to ARRIVE at Southeast at 8:30. All students are responsible for their own transportation. If there are any questions, please ask one of the FMS coaches!

There will be 2 open gyms for any 6th grade boys who are interested in trying out for basketball in 7th grade: April 19 & April 26 from 6:30-7:30 Boys should show up ready to play at 6:30, no earlier, and should be picked up promptly at 7:30. These open gym nights will be run by Coach Gorens. See Ms. Greco if you have any questions.

The AP penny cans were in the lobby this morning and will be there every morning till April 27th. Please drop your money in the can with your AP teacher s name on it. Prizes awarded for the winning APs! Let s do our part in helping return the Abraham Lincoln document to Springfield!

3rd Quarter Honor Roll Rewards The 3rd quarter honor roll reward will be distributed at lunch Thursday (4-19)... ICE CREAM!! I scream! You scream! We all scream for ICE CREAM! Students that made 3rd quarter honor roll will receive a coupon to redeem for the ice cream.

BAND ANNOUNCEMENTS -- Attention band members going to All-City rehearsal tomorrow. You are to be on the bus at 10:45. All of you will be eating on the 8 th grade lunch shift at 10:22 (that is the beginning of third hour for 6 th and 7 th graders). If you have a sack lunch come eat in the hall outside the band room. You do not need your folding music stand for this last rehearsal. Attention all band members in 6 th Advanced, 7 th grade, and 8 th grade The tour form is due today. For tour on Thursday you do need your folding music stand. Come to school in Concert Dress, black and white. You will be attending Advisory class as normal - then come directly to the band room at 8:30. Please have all instruments, music, and music stand with you already. Please bring a sack lunch or money for food at White Oaks Mall food court. 6 th Grade Beginning lunch band is cancelled for this Thursday. Attention FMS All-Star Band, we are going to have an after school rehearsal on Thursday, April 26, from 2:30-4:00. Please communicate with Mr. Keys ahead of time if you have a conflict.
