Each player will pay $5.00 at the beginning of the night to their team captain. The team captain is responsible for turning in $20.00 and the completed score sheet to Longshots bar by close of business on the Wednesday night following the match. 3. Matches are to start at 8:00 pm. Play will start no later than 8:15pm a match may begin with only one player present from a team. If players are not present when it is their turn to play, they forfeit the game for which they are not present in the order in which games are missed. The player(s) that are present will continue to shoot their games in order. As players arrive they may play the next game that is remaining on the schedule for the night, but they may not make up games already missed due to tardiness. If no players from a team show up by 8:15pm to start the match, that team is considered to have forfeited the match, unless the opposing captain allows the late team to play. 4. At the end of the season any dues not turned in will be deducted from that team s prize money. If money for the current week isn t turned in on time (rule 2), the offending team will forfeit all wins and points for that week s match. The opposing team will receive only the wins and points earned during the match. 5. Teams that drop out of the league will not receive any refunds. If a team drops out and the bar is unable to replace the team with new players said bar will be penalized for the dropped team. One half of the team s season dues for summer league and one quarter of the team s season dues for winter league. The bar will suffer an 18 month ban from participating in the league if this fine goes unpaid by the end of the season. Captains from any team that drops out will no longer be eligible to be a captain in the pool league. 6. Team expulsion will occur when a team fails to pay dues on time, 5 weeks in a season. Bar owners will be notified of delinquent teams after 3 weeks of missed payments. In case of expulsion all games expelled team played and still must play become bye weeks for the opposing team resulting in 0 wins and 0 points.
7. Updated standings will be posted no later than Friday following the match. Standings can be found on www.junctioncitybowl.com 8. Teams that forfeit a night of games via no-show still owe dues for that week and the opposing team still needs to turn in $20.00 and their score sheet. 9. All balls pocketed are worth 1 point except the 8 ball which is worth 3 points. The winner always receives 10 points and the loser receives 1 point for each ball of their suit that was pocketed. (In the event of an 8 ball break the opponent will receive no points due to not having claimed a suit of balls yet). 10. Home team breaks 1 st and 3 rd Sets and the Away team breaks 2 nd and 4 th sets. The opponent pays for and racks the game. If a game is played out of turn, it will be re-racked and replayed. It will be paid for by the player at fault unless the captains decide to let the game stand. 11. No coaching is allowed by any one unless a time out is called by the shooter. Each player may call one 60 second time out once per game. During the time out, both players may have one player on their team coach them. Coaching player must stay at least one cue length away from the table. Players may request rule clarification from the player they are currently playing against and if the need arises disagreements will be escalated to the team captains to make rule clarifications. If captains can t resolve the issue they should call the league administrator for a ruling on their discrepancy. If no fair ruling can be made the game will be re-racked with both players paying for half of the game. 12. It is a foul to touch or in any way move the cue ball while in play or any object balls in play (accidental touching by hair or clothing is not a foul if the touched ball does not move). This results in a ball in hand penalty. Intentional object ball movement (picking an object ball up and placing it somewhere else on the table) is a loss of game.
13. Permanent players for a team can not substitute for other teams. Players are deemed to be a permanent player on a team once they have played 5 weeks during the same season. All captains are permanent players on their respective team from the first night of the season. Once a player starts play for the night he must play all games or forfeit the remainder. Players can not be exchanged once a player has played a game. If a permanent player from one team subs on a different team, all that players games will be zeroed out and count as wins for the opposing team. 14. Team Captains are responsible for copying score sheets. If an original is needed they are available at Longshots Sports Bar for pick up as of now. 15. Team standings are based on team wins, in the event of a tie team points will break the tie. If two teams are tied on points, the prize money for both positions will be pooled and paid out evenly amongst the 8 players. 16. Sponsor fees and player prize fund fees will be returned 100%. 17. Delay of game may be called on a player by calling time to said player. Player then has 60 seconds to return to the table and shoot their next shot. 18. Teams are not required to turn in any dues or score sheets for their normally scheduled bye weeks. In the event of a dropped team those weeks will be paid byes. 19. Scoop shots are illegal and result in a ball in hand penalty. To make a legal jump shot a player must strike the cue ball at a downward angle driving it into the table. If cue ball is accidentally jumped trying to draw the ball it is not a penalty if it is a legal shot (any ball touches the rail after cue ball contacts the players object ball). 20. Players are not allowed to stand in opponents line of sight while they are shooting. Shooter must request opponent to move, if opponent refuses to move it is a ball in hand foul.
