WELCOME! The Miss California Scholarship Organization would like to personally welcome you to Prince & Princess Camp 2019! We are so excited to have you participating this year in Fresno. You are about to embark on an unforgettable adventure of fun! Participating in the Miss California Prince & Princess Camp is a wonderful and unique experience. You will gain poise and confidence, improve your speaking skills and make new friends. What You Will Need for Camp: For Princesses: A dressy, solid white dress (any fabric) with age appropriate white shoes For Princes: Black slacks, white collared shirt, black shoes, and tie of any color Production Attire Rehearsal/play clothes warm-ups, shorts, jeans, etc. with tennis shoes is best Light sweater for theater What We Will Be Doing: During the Miss CA Competition, the Miss CA Prince & Princesses will be singing the National Anthem. If your Prince or Princess does not know the National Anthem and has not practiced it, they will not be allowed on stage for the singing of it. This is an important part of the show and we want them to look professional. Princesses will wear their white dress w/crown and Princes will wear their black slacks/collared shirt and medal. Each Prince and Princess will also dance in the Production number during the Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday nights of the competition. During the week, we will be holding the Four Points Academy' and we are excited to announce we will also be holding special courses for our pre-teens with former Miss California s! In addition, we will be holding our annual pool party and pizza party with much more! Please note that all Miss California Princes and Princesses, their families, and friends are responsible for their housing and meals during state activities for their stay during state week. Information regarding the State Headquarters Hotel with Miss California Organization rates can be obtained from me as soon as it is available. I will also provide you with information regarding attending any pre-purchased ticketed events during the week. See you all in June! FORM 110- Miss California Prince & Princess Program RELEASE AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT I,, parent/ guardian of, a Prince/Princess in THE 20 MISS PRINCESS PROGRAM do hereby knowingly and voluntarily release The Miss California Organization, the local competition organization, their Officers, Directors, Trustees, Judges and Employees and any other persons, firm, individual or corporation charged or chargeable with responsibility or liability, their heirs, administrators, executors, successors and assigns from and against any and all claims, lawsuits, demands, damages, loss of service, actions and causes of action based upon, arising out of, or in any way related to any honors, rights, or awards sought by me as a Prince/Princess in the 20 MISS PRINCESS PROGRAM the conduct of business thereat, the ownership and possession of any honors, rights, or awards thereby, any negligent act, act of misfeasance or nonfeasance by the referenced competition, or any of their agents, contractors, servants, employees or licensees, in conjunction with any honors or awards bestowed at said listed above from any and all claims that exonerate, hold harmless and indemnify such competition listed above from any and all claims that I or my representative may have against such honors, rights and awards. Such indemnification to include any or all fees (including reasonable attorney s fees), costs and other expenses reasonably incurred by or on behalf of the above actions or causes of action. I have had a full and adequate opportunity to be thoroughly advised of the terms and conditions of this release and indemnity agreement by counsel of my own choosing. I have also been afforded the opportunity to ask any and all questions that I have concerning this document and its execution by me. PRECEPTS OF CONDUCT FOR PRINCES, PRINCESSES AND PARENTS The Precepts of Conduct for Princes and Princesses are the foundation upon which the image and reputation of the Princess Program has been built and will continue to be the basis for its operation. 1. Princes & Princesses will conduct themselves at all times with dignity, grace, and the good manners of girls who exemplify the integrity of American youth. 2. A Prince & Princess must observe all Rules and Regulations of The Princess Program at all times while participating in the program. The Princess Program reserves the right to terminate the participation of any child that is consistently uncooperative, unmanageable, or disruptive. Parents/legal guardians must also behave in a courteous and responsible manner at all times. Disruptive parents and their child/children may be asked to leave at any time. 3. A Prince & Princess will not participate in any interview, picture, press contact or any type of publicity unless a member of the Princess Committee is present.
COPYRIGHT, LICENSE, OWNERSHIP RIGHTS FORM 110-P 4. Televising and Sponsorship of competition. I understand that the Miss Organization makes no representations to me that the competition will be televised or broadcast on either a live or tape-delay basis, or that the competition will be sponsored by one or more sponsors, or that I will be personally or individually involved in any specific appearance in any broadcast. 5. Permanent License of Publication Rights. I hereby authorize the Miss Organization and anyone duly licensed or authorized by the Organization to (1) televise, photograph, broadcast and/or make radio, television, video and audio tapes or motion picture recordings of me individually or in a group; (2) use or re-use such photographs, recordings, video tapes, audio tapes and/or motion picture films in all media throughout the world in perpetuity; and (3) use my name, likeness and/or physical depiction for any purpose in perpetuity, in an unedited or edited manner or fashion as the Organization, in its sole discretion, shall determine. This authorization shall also include the use of all such photographs, recordings, videotapes, audiotapes and/or motion picture films made during my Year of Service as a Prince/Princess. 6. Miss Organization Ownership of Rights. I understand and agree that all photographs, tapes and films made of me for trade, advertising and any other purpose or purposes as a participant in the program, and any use of my name, likeness and/or physical depiction when identified with the program, shall be the sole and exclusive property of the Organization I understand and agree that I shall have no claim or right to those photographs, tapes and films. I understand and agree that this provision refers to and includes all photographs, tapes and films from any activities relating to the program, including but not limited to interviews, rehearsals and publicity events, either individually or as a member of a group. MISS CALIFORNIA ORGANIZATION PRINCESS GENERAL RULES AND GUIDELINES 1. The State Director, Show Director and the Princess Committee Chairman have complete charge of all activities during competition week. She/he has full authority to make decisions governing contact with Princes and Princesses. 2. No one is permitted backstage at any time, except Security, Stage Personnel and Competition Officials. No one may enter the Prince/Princess area at any time, except authorized personnel. 3. All problems or complaints should be reported to the Princess Committee Chairman immediately. Regardless of how small or large a complaint, please report it. A PROBLEM CANNOT BE SOLVED IF NO ONE KNOWS ABOUT IT EXCEPT PRINCE OR PRINCESS. 4. From the time a Prince/Princess arrives for camp week, until the camp is completed a Prince/Princess is under the jurisdiction of the Miss California Organization and must abide by its Rules and Regulations. 5. Any Prince or Princess whose conduct is deemed unbecoming by the Miss California Organization Princess Committee will be asked to withdraw from Princess Camp with no refund of any portion of the program. 6. You are required to wear your name badge AT ALL TIMES as you are representing the Miss California Organization. Medal, sash and crown will be worn by occasions. 7. Bring with you all rehearsal material and a sweater for those long rehearsals, because it does get cold. 8. All Princes & Princesses must check in and out with their Group Committee Leader at all Official Prince & Princess events during competition weeks which includes, but is not limited to: Production rehearsals, Four Points Academy class, each night of preliminary competition, and the final competition night. 9. TRANSPORATION, HOUSING & MEALS: You must provide your own transportation while participating in the Miss California Organization Princess Program. All Princes, Princesses, their families and friends are responsible for their housing and meals during competition activities for their stay in Fresno. MISS CALIFORNIA ORGANIZATION PRINCE/PRINCESS INFRACTION OF RULES AND PRECEPTS OF CONDUCT If a Prince/Princess conduct is deemed unsatisfactory by the Chairman of the Princess Committee and by this conduct the image and good name of the Miss California Organization Princess Program is deemed to be jeopardized, the following procedure is followed: 1. The Chairman of the Princess Committee will issue a warning to the Prince/Princess in the presence of another Competition Official. The Prince/Princess parent will be notified immediately. 2. If the condition causing this warning is corrected, no further action will be taken. 3. If the condition is not corrected, the Chairman of the Princess Committee will notify the Executive Director and Executive Producer of The Miss California Scholarship Competition. She/he will be given all the particulars regarding the infraction of rules; further action would be the result of their decision. 4. What a Prince or Princess does, where he/she goes, and how he/she conducts themselves during Competition Week, are all governed, to a large degree by rules, regulations and demanding schedules as set forth by the Miss California Organization. PRINCESSES: No big embellishments or extras. Just a simple dress. In this dress, the Princesses will be walking on stage and walking off. There is no dancing in it.
