My activity-packed weekend at Les Mediterranées Some people like to just laze around and relax during their holidays, whereas others, like Isabelle Fabre, just can't keep still. Isabelle is a well-known blogger who loves sport and travels all over the world. This summer, she dropped into Les Méditerranées for a weekend. Below, she tells us all about her sport-packed stay! When I'm on holiday, I like to keep active. Lying on the beach sunbathing is not really my thing. So, when I got to the Nouvelle Floride, I went straight out and rented a bike, even though my comfortable cottage with its eucalyptus wood cladding was tempting me to take a siesta. A leopard can't change its spots... So, off I went to explore the three campsites. When I got to the water park at the Beach Garden, I couldn't resist taking a dip. I mean, seriously, I don't think I've ever seen such a big pool on a campsite. There is even a lane for doing lengths! Twenty-four lengths later, I was sipping a drink on the terrace of the Nouvelle Floride, trying to decide what to do next: Yoga, Aqua Bike, Zumba or Beach Volleyball? It's hard to choose between all the different activities available on site. I decided to go for the yoga; I could go for a run on the beach and do stand-up paddle-boarding tomorrow. When I hear that sentence, I know the holidays have started. In our family, the kids always want to go straight for a swim when they arrive. And you can't really say no when your Cabane de la Mer is right on the beach front. So, Dad keeps a watchful eye from his sun-lounger, while I resist the temptation to have a nap. At lunchtime, we all head to the campsite restaurant at the Charlemagne. You really should try rouille de seiche à la sétoise (cuttlefish in a slightly spicy tomato sauce)... just delicious! The setting is fantastic too, right next to the swimming pool. And what a pool! Water slides, paddling pools, water games, an indoor swimming pool... Guess who enjoyed a few relaxing minutes in the jacuzzi while Dad played with the kids? The next day, we reserved a little romantic day to ourselves. We headed to Marseillan for a Brasucade (barbecue-cooked mussels) and then went for a walk around the harbour, while the children had fun at the Kids' Club! My stay at Les Meds: an unforgettable CAMPING EXPERIENCE! Here, the camping really is five-star. At Les Méditerranées, everything is focused on relaxing in a cosy, refined atmosphere. In her lifestyle blog, Mademoiselle Voyage talks about her favourite places and offers travel tips. To take advantage of the Indian summer, she had a short stay at the Beach Garden. There is nothing I love more when I'm on holiday than taking time for myself, relaxing and being pampered. Well, at Les Méditerranées, I certainly got what I was looking for. While I'm not really used to taking holidays in the great outdoors, these three top-of-the-range campsites really amazed me. My favourite was the Beach Garden, right next to the beach. My sweetheart had chosen a cosy little nest for the two of us; one of the Cabanons du Bagnas (Bagnas cabins), which are really well designed and comfortable. These lovely wood cabins are set in the middle of beautiful Mediterranean vegetation. In the afternoon, I had booked a massage at the "Bulle des Sables" Spa. What a joy! There is a real sense of luxury and refinement; it is incredible to find such a high-quality on a campsite. After a stroll on the beach to admire the sunset, we rounded off a wonderful day by the pool under a pretty straw canopy. A big thank you to Les Méditerranées! The sauna all to myself! No, that s not me! The Spa pool: simply paradise!
