EKN MMC Programme MASCOT : VUSI The Ekurhuleni North Medical Male Circumcision Programme Mascot is called Vusi. History : Vusi originally came from Seattle in the United States of America and his name was Byron. However, we wished to give our mascot his own unique personality so we named him Vusi after the very first client we circumcised on the 19 th September 2011 Vusi Mothiba. In January 2013, a Methodist minister and his wife, Ben and Thelma Matthee, who reside in an old age village, in Edenvale, Ekurhuleni North agreed to support the Ekurhuleni North Medical Male Circumcision Programme by making a life size mascot. On the 7 th of March 2013, Vusi was collected from the Matthee home in Edenvale and transported to his official home at the Winnie Mandela Male Sexual Health Clinic. The Ekurhuleni North Medical Male Circumcision Team greeted Vusi with open arms and enthusiasm excited to have their life size mascot to bless and look after the clinic and all that go through their doors.
1 SECTION 21 CO. NO: 20089647 - ESTABLISHED 1986 P O BOX 343, MONDEOR, 2110 12 December 2012 To: On behalf of the ACR committee we want to THANK YOU for the support you showed resulting in a very successful Golf Day both socially and financially. As mentioned in our invitation and at the prize presentation, the funds raised will be used in the frail care sections at THE ANDRIES MEYER OLD AGE HOME. The aim is to make these sections more bearable and pleasant especially during the winter months. Even though the funds raised at our Golf Day will not be able to cover all the rooms in the section (of which there are eight) we plan to organize further fundraisers to complete the project. Thank you again for your support and wishing you a blessed festive season and a prosperous new year. Kindest regards, Russel McKenzie. 2 A C R Friends of the Aged was established in 1986. Our main objective was always to provide aid to under privileged senior citizens. Initially we hosted Christmas lunches for the elderly, but due to the diminished funding to old age homes over the years we decided to focus more on assisting the homes than hosting on/off functions. We identified the following homes in need of urgent assistance: THE ANDRIES MEYER OLD AGE HOME JORDAN HOUSE FREDERICK PLACE EBENEZERHANNAHHOME SOWETO HOME FOR THE AGED In the past, due to the generosity of the general public and our supporters we have been able to supply these homes with cutlery, crockery, beds, linen, mattresses, wheel chairs, cot beds, replaced stoves, fridges and freezers In addition to this we have also assisted with much needed renovations and in one instance we were even able to overhaul a mini bus. The motivation behind the fundraiser is to assist The Andries Meyer Old Age Home who is in dire need for new flooring in the frail care section. The current plastic Marley tile flooring is ± 30 years old and large arrears of the flooring in this section has eroded to such an extent that it has peeled away leaving open bare concrete. As you can imagine these rooms are now extremely cold in winter. ACR is motivated to raise the funds necessary to relay these floors with Marley Vinyl Sheeting and to install (GO GREEN) energy saving air conditioners in the rooms, thereby providing not only warmth and comfort during the cold winter months but also cool conditions in summer. The cost of this project is estimated at about R 120 000.00 OUR BANKING DETAILS: ACCOUNT NAME : A C R BANK : ABSA BANK LIMITED BRANCH : FLORA CENTRE ACCOUNT NUMBER : 1002290487 BRANCH CODE : 635005

Hierdie gholftoernooi reëlings was anders.
