They will learn cheers, motions, jumps, and jump technique, tumbling, dance, and stunting. They will also learn a basic routine to music with formations, tumbling, stunts, jumps and more! Classes meet just one hour a week and occasionally they will perform at the gym in front of the parents and all-star cheerleaders. New to this season! We will be offering beginner competitive teams! The perfect introduction to all-star cheerleading with less cost, less time commitment, and no overnight travel! This is a great way for athletes to get a taste of all-star cheer! There is no tryout, you just join the team and we start training you! Teams will practice once a week from June through April. They will attend 3-4 competitions with no overnight travel. They will perform a 2-minute routine at competitions with stunts, tumbling, jumps, dance, and pyramid only competing against other beginner teams.. There will be a minimum of 5 athletes required per team, if we do not have enough, they will have the option to combine at one of the locations. It is highly recommended that your child starts in June to learn choreography, skills, etc, but we will take new students up until August 31 st. (Please see the next page for fees involved in beginner Competitive Cheer Prep teams.) Practices are: Youth Prep Team Ages 6-11 Captains Springfield location: 2877 N. Beginner School Age Cheerleader Training This class is held once a week at our Springfield CIA location. This class is for girls or boys in school cheer wanting to improve their skills or wanting to get training before school cheer tryouts. A typical class involves, tumbling, jump conditioning, jump technique, basic stunting, dance, motions, voice projection, dance, cheers and mock tryouts. Springfield CIA Location Squad Skills Training Wednesday s 6:30-8:00pm Set up a skills camp for your squad! Our all-star coaches can create a unique camp catered to what your squad needs; whether tumbling, jumps, starting line up pyramid, stunt sequences to cheers, stunt technique, etc. Chatham or Springfield location must call or email to schedule. Squad Tumbling Set up a weekly tumbling class just for your squad! Athletes will work on basic to elite tumbling drills, skills and conditioning! Chatham or Springfield location must call or email to schedule. School Cheer Choreography We have choreographers on staff who can create a unique competition routine for your squad. We will do the best we can with the skills your squad has to help you hit the score sheet! Tryouts and team placements were held in May but we typically have openings on our competitive teams until mid/end of July. It does not matter if they have never cheered competitive before, we have teams for all levels and we train them into great athletes!
