THE MOST IMPORTANT REQUIREMENTS FOR A NEW BICYCLE: - MAINTAIN YOUR TYRES WITH THE PROPER INFLATION PRESSURE. The correct inflation pressure is the maximum recommended by the manufacturer. You can find this recommended specification on the SIDEWALL OF YOUR TYRE and it s indicated in PSI and BAR. It s normal that the MAX INFLATION for a bicycle tyre is much higher than a car. Check your tyre pressure regularly. This will give you a smoother ride, make pedalling easier, and keep your tyres in good condition. - SADDLE HEIGHT. The saddle height is the most important setting for comfortable pedalling. If the saddle is too low, you ll have to work harder, making your pedalling less efficient. The correct saddle height is one where your leg is 95% straight when the pedal is at the lowest point (see Section 7 for more details and a picture).
