Spring Ordeal Recap Brothers, We had an extremely successful Spring Ordeal last month!! Despite the rain, we had a great time and got all of the work projects completed!! We also had especially great ceremonies thanks to our amazing ceremonialists!! We successfully inducted 24 new candidates, all of whom pushed through the crazy weather and completed all the work projects by 3:00!! We had a lot of fun at Spring Ordeal, but don't worry if you missed it this year because Summer Ordeal will be occurring August 18-20, 2018 and we want your help!! Enjoy your Summer! Josh Morrow - Lodge Chief lodge.chief@ Log Rolling Recap Brothers, Thanks to everyone who came out to Log Rolling on Saturday! 2018 Vigil Honor Inductees Tsali Lodge is proud to present the 2018 Vigil Honor Class Mike Lundy Dorian Owenby Blake Williams Marc Asaad Samuel Brown Lucy Thorne The Vigil Honor is the highest honor that the Order of the Arrow can bestow upon its members for service to lodge, council, and Scouting. Membership cannot be won by a person's conscious endeavors. The Vigil Honor is a high mark of distinction and recognition reserved for those Arrowmen who, by reason of exceptional service, personal effort, and unselfish interest, have made distinguished contributions beyond the immediate responsibilities of their position of office to one or more of the following: Lodge Order of the Arrow Scouting community Scout Camp Under no circumstances should tenure in Scouting or the Order of the Arrow be considered as reason enough for a Vigil Honor recommendation. Any member of the Order of the Arrow registered in Scouting and in good standing in a regularly chartered lodge is eligible for recommendation to the National Order of the Arrow for elevation to the Vigil Honor provided that, at the time of the recommendation, the individual has been a Brotherhood member for a minimum of two years. A lodge may nominate a maximum of two percent of their registered Arrowmen once a year, through the Vigil Honor petition, found in the annual re-charter packet. At least 50 percent of all nominated must be under 21 at the time of nomination. For more information, visit https://oa-bsa.org/program/awards/vigil-honor. Page 4

June s Featured Patch Here is a flap that will certainly get anyone's attention. It's the S16 Officers Tan border issue. This flap was only distributed to Lodge officers in 1984. This is one rare and very desirable flap to add to any ones collection. This flap does not show up very often and will take some serious cash or other precious cloth to acquire. Good luck in finding one. If anyone has any info or wants to talk patches, please feel free to contact me at thetea_man@hotmail.com or come by the trading post at any event and we'll talk. I'll see you there. Weldon Clinard Page 5

Dixie Area Recap Quest Events Recap Indian Affairs Recap Dixie this year was a real accomplishment for us. We had a very limited amount of people who were able to participate in the quest events and training stations. We came first in three quest events fire building, the chariot race, and the war canoe. We also did a training session in the morning which was lead by Quentin Stalker. He did a great job in presenting the special opportunities we as Arrowmen have at high adventure camps. Overall we had a great time at Dixie, and my hope is that next year we can bring home more first place wins. Tsali lodges Indian affairs and ceremonies team had a very successful weekend at Dixie fellowship. I would like to thank all the brothers that competed in IA events.
