1st session of the FIM Europe Sporting Commissions in Fiumicino The 1st session of the FIM Europe Sporting Commissions in Fiumicino (Italy) The FIM Europe Commission Meetings started today with the first session of Sporting Commissions, which will be followed by the second session in November and then by the Non-Sporting Commissions next January. The meeting, with new members taking their place along-side reappointed members, is being held, as usual, at the Tiber Hotel in Fiumicino, near Rome (Italy). In this first session there were the meetings of the Road Racing, Motocross & Snowcross, Enduro & Rally and Vintage Commissions. The meetings saw the implementation of the proposals by the various Commissions for the upcoming 2019 Sporting Season. The session was also attended by the 1st Deputy President, Mr. Martin de Graaff, and the Secretary General, Mr, Alessandro Sambuco, with the presence of FIM Sports Director, Mr. Fabio Muner, FIM CMS Director, Mr. Tony Skillington, FIM CEN Director, Mr. John Collins, and FIM CEV Repsol Director, Mr. Oscar Gallardo. New FIM Europe clothing - Produced by ixon, has been distributed to all members at the first session of the Sporting Commissions. This is important to best represent the FIM Europe Officials on the occasion of its events.

Press Release The Road Racing Commission, chaired by Mr. Martin Hejduk Road Racing - Commission chaired by the new Chairman, Mr. Martin Hejduk who stated: I m satisfied about the results of this meeting. First Deputy President, Mr. Martin de Graaff, joined the meeting informing about the Superstock 1000 will be a European Cup in the Alpe Adria series. Mr. Oscar Gallardo, FIM CEV Repsol Director, referred about the good running of the CEV Repsol European Moto 2 Championship. The Talent Cup, especially, is a fantastic class which becomes a perfect occasion for talent scouts to enjoy the performance of these young riders. The Mini Road Racing Working Group had a short meeting yesterday in the afternoon to establish the rules for the next sporting season. They informed that for the next year the calendar will be based on two events, one in Franciacorta/ITA and the second one in Assen/NED with a training camp prior to this last event. The Commission is looking for a promoter in the Open Endurance and to have a European Championship on three events. Motocross & Snowcross - The Motocross and Snowcross Commission has wrapped up the second half of the season 2018 and has also discussed changes for

The Enduro & Rally Commission, chaired by Mr. Marco Bolzonello the upcoming year. The maximum age limit for EMX 85 class changed back to 14 years. The maximum age for EMX 250 changes to 23 years. This also applies to 250 class within MXoEN. The EMX 300 Championship changes its name to EMX 2T and also the maximum capacity changes to 250cc. EMX 250 and EMX Women keep the parity of 2 stroke and 4 stroke 250cc. bikes. Enduro & Rally The Commission is close to confirming the calendar for the 2019 sporting season. The 2018 Enduro European Championship was very successful and the final in Poland was a particularly good end to the season. Vintage The new Vintage Commission comprising of four new members joining five re-appointed members met today to review the 2018 events and plan next year s calendar. 2018 has been a good year for the Commission with successful events in all disciplines. For 2019 Vintage Hill Climbing will be introduced for the first time with three events after being approached by the organizers of established hill climbs in Austria and Germany. Agreement with a new Vintage Endurance promoter is close that should result in a three round Championship for 2019.

Press Release The Motocross & Snowcross Commission, chaired by Mr. Eddie Herd Progress is also being made in Vintage Enduro with two races already on the calendar in France & Italy and further events in Spain & Germany being investigated. After a year without a Vintage Motocross Championship France is working hard to organize the Championship again in 2019. At the end of the meeting1st Deputy President Martin de Graaff stated: The Commission Meetings in Fiumicino are important in order to prepare the 2019 season, to talk about rules, to make the new calendars, applied by the Federations. The Commission members evaluated the results and reports from the last season, minor rule changes are sometimes necessary. For new classes and events the complete set of rules will be developed. The number of classes and riders is improving in almost all cases. Changes and future plans will be discussed and approved in the meeting of the Management Council in December. The Vintage Commission, chaired by Mr. Igor Boskovic members arrive the day before and some of them are staying longer to visit Rome. The presence of the FIM Directors is highly appreciated, the cooperation is very welcome and good for the harmonization of the rules.
