Technique and skill will determine success, from the decoy spread to the masterful calling tactics of the guides each step is carefully planned to ensure high-volume action packed moments you ll never forget. Limits are often reached in the morning hunt, leaving time for one afternoon of Pheasant hunting with 3 birds included in the hunt price, with other birds available for purchase. Canadian waterfowl calling champions will guide clients delivering the highest standard in guided care, knowledge and equipment. This hunt provides a SPECIES ü Canada Geese ü various ducks ü pheasant unique opportunity to learn the secrets of waterfowl hunting from the best in the business. LODGING AND FOOD Hotel lodging is first class with private executive rooms for the clients. Meals are provided with suppers catered by the Head Chef who specializes in wild game cooking. Clients will be treated to a unique menu option developed specifically for our clients. All meals are provided for the 3 hunting days as described in the hunting package you will be provided. 2016 FIELD GUIDE walking distance to the Kanata Centrum with pubs, entertainment, and shopping. Ottawa is home to the NHL Ottawa Senators and the arena is only a short drive. We will be pleased to provide game schedule information for an evening of hockey entertainment. TERRAIN AND HUNTING STYLE Hunts are conducted from covered blinds with sitting stools. Mornings can be damp and cool. Walking is limited and the physical requirements are minimal. Pheasant hunting is conducted in easy terrain and the pace of walking is moderate. Hunters can select (based on the number of birds purchased) the approximate length of hunting time. CLOTHING Temperatures during October in Ottawa can range greatly. It is advisable to prepare to be comfortable sitting in cool and wet conditions. Layering will be essential as mid-afternoon temperatures climb. A recommended gear list will be provided. TRAVEL Clients will fly into Ottawa International Airport (YOW) and will be met by our guiding team at the airport. From there, clients will be driven approximately 20 minutes to the hotel. Our team will pick clients up each day for hunting and will be driven to the airport for departure as well. Clients who opt to drive will be provided directions to the hotel. For any down time clients may rent a vehicle to see the National Capital area. Our team will be happy to provide recommendations on sites to see. GUNS AND AMMUNITION Clients may bring their own shotguns or rent directly on site from our team. One box of ammunition is provided per day with extra boxes available for purchase. Shotguns must have plugs and limited to three rounds of magazine and chamber capacity combined.

Airport pickup and drop off, three nights hotel accommodations, meals (as described in hunt package) including exclusive Head Chef menu, Pheasant Hunting (3 birds included) One box of shells per day. not included Shotgun rental, extra ammunition, additional birds (PHEASANTS ONLY) and observers. Additional accommodation or meals beyond described services outlined in the hunter package. Additional vehicle rentals for side trips or after hunt entertainment/site-seeing. Taxidermy, shipping. Guide and server tips. DEPOSIT A 50% deposit is required to hold dates. The remaining 50% is due January 15th on the year of your hunt. All deposits are non-refundable for any reason. Requests for date changes once deposits have been paid will only be honored solely at our discretion and are subject to a 10% processing fee. Hunts booked after January 15th the year of the hunt require the full price to be paid at the time of booking. Additional birds for the Pheasant Hunt must be pre-paid as well as shotgun rentals. REFUNDS All deposits and balances paid are completely non-refundable in whole or in part for any reason including but not limited to: illness, injury, flight delays, unforeseen loss of income, early departure, late arrival, business emergencies, family emergencies, etc.
pricing & details DATES 3 days in the field 3 nights, 2016 dates as follows, 4 hunters per hunt block only: October 3rd through 5th October 6th through 8th October 10th through 12th October 13th through 15th October 17th through 19th October 20th through 22nd October 24th through 26th October 27th through 29th For travel planning purposes you will need to add at least one day to either side of the hunt for international travel. After booking we will give you all the details required to book your travel. Hunters are to arrive the day before the hunt start day (hotel covered) and depart the last day (afternoon or evening of the final day-hotel not covered on the final day). LICENSES Ontario small game hunting license and the Federal Migratory Bird License are included in the hunt price. GETTING YOUR TROPHIES HOME Birds may be frozen and shipped home-arrangements may be made for local taxidermy or shipping (not included in pricing). Birds not taken by the client will be processed and distributed to the local First Nation Community for food and traditional art.
