WEEK 2 SCHEDULE
POWER RANKINGS 1. Bitcoin Ballers Beginning a season with a win is always a good feeling. Taking down the team right behind them in the rankings has to put the Ballers over the moon more than Bitcoin starting to rebound. After squeaking out the 1-0 win against HK, Double-B will move down the list as they look to take on The Faction this week. 2. Helicopter Kicks Falling just short of victory, Heli Kicks still put up a fight against the Ballers. They ll stay in the 2-spot until we get a better sense if they re going to do their best impression of Black Hawk Down or take flight like Skywolf. They ve got another test this week in the Purple Powerhouse that is THIS pitch. Can HK get their propellers spinning this week? 3. The Faction While they remain undefeated, they tied which is hardly exciting. The game was very evenly matched against THIS Pitch and they were missing some pieces, but let s hope that s simply a fact and not an excuse. Faction will need to generate a little more firepower this week with the Bitcoin Ballers coming off a win. 4. THIS Pitch It looked like they could take Faction down for the victory, but 6 innings just wasn t enough time (they probably didn t get to go to Bed Bath & Beyond either) and they ended in a tie. THIS pitch will get another chance to prove their mettle against a Top 5 team this week as they have a matchup against Helicopter Kicks team trying to keep from being grounded. 5. Big Kicks Tiny Bunts They turned their namesakes into a 5-3 victory over B&B last week. Their offense seems to be ahead of most of the squads at this point, so if they can lock down their outfield they could be this year s dark horse. This week they face a Turntle squad that failed to get Turnt in Week 1. Will BKTB keep them dialed down again? 7. Naked Turtles As the prophet Drake once said, Started from the bottom now we re here. Naked Turtles rose from the mud and proved their superiority amongst the league s Turtle-based names. They seem a little feistier this season and could have latched on to a winning strategy. LIT K will be looking to prove last week was a fluke, but what is more confident than a Naked Turtle? 8. LIT K Turns out, it s an acronym. They were not trying to get lit, though some might argue they succeeded. Unless winning is getting lit.because they fell just short of that goal against Boozter Club. This week, they ll take on some Reptilian Nudists while also taking on their on their livers. The latter grows back, so focus on keeping the Naked Turtles in check 9. Bad and Boujee Not exactly the start they wanted as they were looking to build on their Fall success, but one game does not a bad Season make. While we haven t figured out if a Boujee season would be any better, there s plenty of time to work out some other adjectives for their Winter Season in weeks 2-8. This week they ll see if the Boozter Club can help boost their stat and win lines 10. Turntles Mess with the Turt and you get hurt! The Turntles stumbled out of the gate and underestimated the Naked Turtles which culminated in a hard fought 2-1 loss. We doubt they ll stay down here long with the leadership and experience they have. Not sure anyone wants to be in BKTB s shoes this week facing an angry squad of Turntles coming off a loss. 6. Boozter Club Starting off with a bang, Boozter Club came out and handled their business against LIT K. One could say they were up to snuff. Dad Joke Puns aside, BC will look to keep the ball rolling (and flying) this week as they take on B&B who is looking for anything aside from a nice, quiet weekend. Can the Boozters quiet down the competition?
