General Information Reservations: Summerlea receives many tournaments requests on a daily basis. We advise you to reserve as soon as possible to ensure that you get the date of your choice. We have a very busy season and available dates fill up very quickly. Menu: We offer a wide variety of traditional and thematic menus and would be pleased to discuss alternative selections to personalize your function. Charges: All prices quoted are subject to change without notice in order to reflect market fluctuations. A 15% service & administration fee plus applicable taxes will be added to all food and beverage products. Guarantee: You must confirm the exact number of people attending no later than one (1) week prior to the event date. This number will be used for billing purposes, with no exceptions. Your menu choices are to be confirmed and finalized no later than three (3) weeks prior to the reception date. Your balance owing is due ten (10) days following the reception of your final invoice. Alcohol: It is strictly forbidden to bring any alcohol on the club premises even as gifts for your guests. Summerlea is the only authorized vendor of alcohol on the premises. All alcoholic purchases are to be done through Summerlea. Three weeks notice is required for special wine and liquor purchase requests. We reserve the right to refuse alcoholic beverages to anyone who we feel is at their limit (in order to handle such a situation in an appropriate manner, you will be advised beforehand). 2
Closing: The bar will be closed at 1:00 a.m. and all guests must be gone by 2:00 a.m. as per our RAJQ permit. Entertainment: All entertainment hired by the client must be approved by Summerlea management. To use music as entertainment, a SOCAN and a RE:SOUND fees will be added to the final statement. The amounts are based on the room capacity. SOCAN operates in accordance with tariffs certified by the Copyright Board of Canada. There are now over 20 different tariffs that correspond to different ways you can use music. Re:Sound is the Canadian not-for-profit music licensing company dedicated to obtaining fair compensation for artists and record companies for the broadcast and public performance of their work. They advocate for music creators, educate music users, licence businesses and distribute royalties to creators all to help build a thriving and sustainable music industry in Canada. The difference between both organizations: Re:Sound represents the rights of artists and record companies (the people who created sound recordings) while SOCAN (Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada) does the same for composers and music publishers (the people who created the compositions that are embedded in those sound recordings). Unless previously agreed by the Club management, all equipment (AV, sound instruments, etc.) must be removed immediately following the event. There will be an additional charge of $20.00/hour for every hour past 2:00 a.m. that the entertainment takes to depart. Non-Responsibility: Summerlea Golf and Country Club is not responsible in any way for any item left on the club premises by the client, guest, or by a company hired by the client. This includes any item rented by the client. 3
Sponsor: The sponsor is liable for any misconduct and damages incurred by your guests. The sponsor is also responsible for payment of your account if it becomes overdue. Lodging: The following hotels are located close to the club: Château Vaudreuil (Highway 40), Holiday Inn Express (highway 40), Holiday Inn (Pointe Claire), Hilton (Dorval) and many more. Cycling Summerlea Golf and Country Club is excited to include the option of a cycling tour to the 2017 packages. The cycling package includes reserved parking and access to the showers and lockers for a fee of 20$/person. CLUBHOUSE RULES No Exceptions Smoking: Smoking is not permitted in the Clubhouse. At no time will children under 18 years of age be permitted to smoke cigarettes or cigars, nor consume any alcoholic beverages whatsoever. Cell phones: Please be advised that the use of cell phones, and/or similar devices, is not permitted within the Clubhouse or the Course. Dress Code: Please be advised that Summerlea has a dress code of Absolutely NO DENIM (jeans). This includes jean jackets and jean dresses or jeans skirts. To avoid any embarrassment, please advise your guests of this. Finally, any personnel hired for your event (volunteers, sponsors, photographers, etc.) should also be dressed in accordance with this dress code. The following is a brief outline of our dress code In the Clubhouse: Jacket & Tie (optional) Golf shirts with collar and neatly tucked into trousers Running shoes and sandals (flip flops or gougounes) are prohibited Denim, jeans, hats, golf caps, visors are prohibited. On the Courses: Men Tailored pants or Bermuda shorts Knee-length socks, sockets, or ¼ socks Golf shirts with collar and neatly tucked into trousers Golf shoes with soft-spikes Ladies Tailored slacks or Capris, Bermuda shorts or skirts (The length needs to be mid-thigh and above the knee).
