Zenith Gymnastics Recreational Gymnastics Rules and Policies We strive to offer the best and safest gymnastics experience for all levels of gymnastics. Please read this packet carefully for a full understanding of our rules and policies. The registration form consists of two pages (pages 7 and 8) and both must be turned in to the office to complete registration. The automatic draft authorization form is optional and only needs to be returned if you would like to sign up for automatic draft of your tuition payments. Thank you for choosing us for your gymnastics classes. Gym Rules for Gymnasts: 1. Gymnasts should arrive on time for their class. If they arrive early they can wait on the stairs inside the gym for their class to start. 2. Gymnasts can be dropped off up to 5 minutes before their class starts. Gymnasts that arrive earlier that 5 minutes before their class must be supervised by a parent or guardian. 3. All gymnasts are required to wait inside the facility to be picked up. A parent or guardian MUST come inside to pick up their gymnast. 4. Gymnasts are not allowed beyond the red line without coach supervision. 5. Gymnasts should be wearing proper gymnastics attire. 6. No food or drink is allowed inside the gym, with the exception of water. 7. Gymnasts are expected to behave appropriately and to listen to their coach at all times. Because of safety concerns gymnasts that misbehave or do not listen to instructions may be asked to sit out for a limited amount of time (no more than 5 minutes). Any problems or repeated misbehaving will be discussed with parents at the end of class. 8. Gymnasts should not get on any equipment or apparatus until told to do so by their coach. For their safety, they should follow all instructions on the proper use of equipment and apparatus. Gym Rules for Parents: 9. Parents, guardians, and spectators are not allowed inside the gym. They must watch from the lobby or one of the upstairs viewing room. 10. If your gymnast is more than 10 minutes late for their class, please see the front desk. They will walk your child out to their class. DO NOT send your child into the gym by themselves. 11. If you need to pick your child up early, please let the front desk know and they will get them for you. DO NOT go into the gym to get them yourself. 12. If you are running late to pick up your gymnast, please contact the office (704-568-1277). Gymnasts will be made to wait on the steps inside the gym until they are picked up. You may be charged a late pick-up charge if you are more than 20 minutes late to pick up your child. 13. We are a smoke free facility. 14. Since we are a facility for children, weapons are not allowed inside the building. 15. If you have any concerns, complaints, or suggestions please see the front desk or e-mail us at zenith_gymnastics@live.com. 1

Make-up policy: We offer limited number of make-ups during the school year. A make-up class can be scheduled through the office for classes missed because of illness, family emergencies, or school events. Classes missed because of family vacations or non-school events (i.e. birthday parties, going to the movies, etc) are not eligible to be made up. Make-ups are not offered for team track, pre-team, team, or teen and adult tumbling classes. To do a make-up class your gymnast needs to be added to the make-up roster. This can be done by contacting the office by e-mail (zenith_gymnastics@live.com) or in person at the front desk. Make-ups will be offered on the following dates. If you are signed-up for a make-up class and cannot make it, please let the office know. Any no-shows that did not let us know that they would be missing the make-up will not be allowed to re-schedule that make-up. DROP-INS ARE NOT ALLOWED. 2 Beginner/Advanced/Gym Skills October 8 th from 3:30 5:00pm November 5 th from 3:30 5:00pm February 4 th from 3:30 5:00pm April 8 th from 3:30 5:00pm May 6 th from 3:30 5:00pm Preschool/Star Prep October 8 th from 3:30 4:30pm November 5 th from 3:30 4:30pm February 4 th from 3:30 4:30pm April 8 th from 3:30 4:30pm May 6 th from 3:30 4:30pm Drop Policy A 30-day written notice (e-mail or letter) must be provided to drop all classes. A $25 fee will be applied to drops without notice. You will be required to pay this fee before your child can re-register for classes in the future. If your gymnast is doing multiple classes a week, then we require a 2 week notice if they want to drop one of their classes. There is no fee for dropping a class if it is done at least 2 weeks in advanced. There is a $10 drop fee for drop requests for a drop date that is less than 2 weeks from date of request. Attendance Policy Gymnasts are expected to attend their scheduled class each week. If they cannot make it for 2 weeks in a row, please let the office know. If your child misses 3 classes in a row it is our policy to send an e-mail. If we do not receive a response, the gymnasts will be dropped from the class. Gymnasts are not allowed to come a different day or time than the one that they are scheduled to attend. You are responsible for tuition payments regardless of attendance. We do not pro-rate for missed classes or scheduled closing. Changing/Adjusting Class Times or Days Class times and days can be changed based on class availability. Multiple changes during a four-week period will be subject to a $10 fee per change, per child after the first one. If your gymnast changes classes, they will lose their spot in their previous class. We encourage all changes to be made either at the start of at the end of the month in order to avoid confusion. All changes must be made through the office.

Star Certificate Program Explanation 4 We are excited to tell you about our Star Certificate program. This program is designed to encourage your gymnast to do their best by helping them set goals and showing them clearly what skills they will be working on. This lets gymnasts progress at their own pace, and move up when they are ready. The program consists of a Star Certificate that is given out to each student to take home with them and a wristband that they are to wear to each class. They will earn stars (stickers that they can place on their star certificate and cloth stars that can be sewn onto their wristbands) for each skill they learn! This will show their progress in the class and let both the coaches and the gymnast know when they are ready to move on to the next level. If your gymnast forgets his or her wristband they will not be given their cloth stars for any skills they learned that day (they will be given the stars the next time they wear their wristband to class). As your gymnast progresses though the program they will receive different colored wristband which will show what level of skills they are working on. For example, the first wristband a gymnast receives is White which stands for Beginner 1. Once they learn at least 16 skills from the Beginner 1 Star Certificate they will be able to advance to the next level, which is a Red wristband (Beginner 2). Each level, Star Prep, Beginner, and Advanced has two levels. The Star Prep levels are Yellow and Orange, the Beginner levels are White and Red, and the Advanced levels are Purple/Blue and Black. On average, it takes a year to progress from color to color. Some gymnasts may take longer; some may be able to progress faster. Monthly Tuition, Payment Options, and Other Fees Annual Registration Fee The annual registration fee is due at the time of registration. It is used to reserve a spot for a gymnast in the class that they will be attending. This fee is not required to do a trial class. We pro-rate the registration fee on a 3-month basis as our year starts in September and we collect all registration fees then. The fees for registration are as follows: $40 for September to August $30 for December to August $20 for March to August $10 for June to August We offer sibling discounts on the registration fee of $10 off per sibling. There is a family registration maximum of $110 annually. Monthly Tuition Fees The monthly tuition fee is due by the 7 th of each month. There is a late fee of $10 applied to the total tuition due (not each student) for all payments made after the 7 th of the month.
