Please be respectful of families with dancers in multiple acts. Tickets Pre-Sale Tickets may be purchased on IDA s Website or the link below for $8 + convenience fee. Pre Sale Ticket Link: www.tututix.com/indydanceacademy Tickets will be available at the door for $10. Tickets are good for the entire day of dance (Acts 1-4) Performing dancers do not require a ticket. Lap Children 2 and under are free. Class Mom Volunteers do not require a ticket. To volunteer to be a class mom see page 7. Page 2 Arrival Enter Noblesville High School through Entrance 1 into the Auditorium Lobby. All performing dancers need to arrive 30 minutes prior to their Act time and check in at the Dancer Check In table. Dancers will not be checked in prior to their 30 minute call time. Arrive with your dancer dressed in costume with their performance hair & make-up complete. Parents must change their dancers into their performance shoes (jazz, tap, ballet, etc.) from their street shoes upon arrival. Parents may not give anything to their dancer to take into the Green Room. Therefore parents should take dancer s street shoes, coats, etc. with them. All performance attire and shoes are to be labeled with dancers name. Dancers will be escorted into the Green Room by IDA staff and will remain in the green room for the entirety of the Act. Auditorium Doors will open 20 minutes prior to each Act. Purchase tickets, enjoy the silent auction & concessions prior to door opening. During the Performance For a successful performance we ask that you follow our performance policies. For the safety and respect of your dancer and others, we ask that all audience members remain in their seats for the entire Act. Do not get up during a dance if you need to excuse yourself. Out of respect for all performers, we ask you wait to leave the auditorium in-between dances. No Video or Flash Photography will be permitted during the acts. Holiday Hoopla will be filmed and sold by On The Spot Productions for $35 pre-sale and $40 day of and after. DVD s include all 4 Acts. If your dancer is in multiple dances in the same Act, you are responsible to help them change. You must meet your dancer back in the Green Room immediately following their first dance to help them change into their next costume. Once your dancer is changed, please return to your seat in the auditorium. To respect our dancers who are on stage, do not enter and exit the auditorium while a dance is performing. Please wait to exit in-between dances. IDA instructors and staff will supervise dancers in the Green Room and escort them to and from the stage. Please do not ask to sit with your dancer in the Green Room. Silent Auction will go throughout the 4 acts. You do not need to be present to win, we will contact all winners at end of the 4 th act or by email on Monday, December 11 th. Departure Due to security purposes, dancers will not be released from IDA supervision before the end of each Act. All dancers will participate in a finale bow at the end of the Act. After the Act is over, dancers will be escorted to a designated section of the cafeteria to DANCER PICK UP per class, to meet their adoring fans. Please give IDA Staff time and space to get dancers organized for pick up. Your tickets are valid for all 4 Acts of the entire day so you are welcome to feel the energy and watch great dancing all day. You must exit the auditorium after each act.
Performance Attire, Hair & Make-up Below you will find your dancer s required performance attire and hairstyle. Page 3 Mommy & Me No nail polish of any color is to be worn. No jewelry of any kind is to be worn. (exception for IDAC & Team dancers). Underwear is not to be worn under tights. Make-up: Light make-up must be worn so faces aren t washed out by the stage lights. Use a lipstick and a blush with a pink / red hue. Mascara and neutral eye shadow may also be worn. Hair: Use hairspray, gel, and bobby pins for short hair, bangs or layered hair. Combined Class Rehearsal Schedule Combined classes will have an opportunity to rehearse together for the Holiday Hoopla the week of Dec.4 th 9 th Page 7 These are very important rehearsals, held at Indy Dance Academy. Please make it a priority to attend. If your dancer is not able to make the extra class, please still have them attend their regular scheduled class time. The following classes will need class mom volunteers for the day of Holiday Hoopla: Mommy & Me, Music & Movement, Tot-Hop, Hip Hop Jam, Creative Movement, Creative Dance, Creative Combo, all level 1/2 recreational classes & IDA Company and Team Mini / Petite Emeralds, Amethyst & Topaz Levels. Class moms will assist IDA staff with the following: Entertain & assist class dancers during show day, potty patrol, escort dancers to and from backstage & Green Room & escort dancers to dancer pick up after the final bow. All Class Moms will be able to watch their dancers from reserved front row seat (you will not need to purchase a ticket).
