Enews 10/17/18 Girls Basketball tryouts are happening this week Dates: Thursday, October 18th & Friday the 19th Where: 9th Graders in 9th Grade Gym Soph.-Senior in Aux or Main Gym If you did not play volleyball and you are a 9 th grader, your tryouts will be on both days from 6:00-7:00 am If you did not play volleyball and you are a 10 th -12 th grader, you will tryout from 2:35-5:00 on Thursday and 11:45-2:00 on Friday All Volleyball Players that wish to tryout, your practice time will be on Saturday, October 20 th from 8:00-11:00 am Studio VII - ComedySportz

Tomorrow (Thursday 18th) we will be having our first ComedySportz match of the season with an intra-squad (Seven Lakes players only) game in the Black Box at 7pm. Tickets are $6 at the door - enter the theatre hallway through the loading bay to the right of the PAC. Please join us for some fun and laughter! If it's your first time, this is competitive improv comedy along the lines of the TV show "Whose Line Is it Anyway?". It is clean humor, suitable for all ages, even very small children. Concessions will be available as usual; most items only a dollar. We hope to see some of you there! Pizza Friday Thursday - 10/18/18! No time to pack lunch.you re in luck! The Class of 2021 will be selling hot Papa John s pepperoni and cheese pizza in the rotunda and freshman center during all lunches on Thursday this week due to the half day on Friday. Pizza will be $1.50 a slice or $12.00 per box. We need parent volunteers to help make this another successful fundraiser. Student Picture Retake Day 10/25/18 LifeTouch Photographers will be at SLHS for any follow up pictures. It will be a great day filled with golf, food and fun! Bowling Club The bowling club is having an informational meeting for new members on October 23 rd at 2:45 in room 2256. All students are welcome to join with no previous experience required. The Seven Lakes bowling team competes against other Katy ISD schools with the chance to advance to regionals and state. Collegiate scholarships are also available. Class of 2020 Diaper Drive 10/15-26/18

This year, the Class of 2020 challenges all 3 rd period class to collect diapers! The diapers will be donated to Casa de Esparanza which is a non-profit organization that provides housing for foster kids. Casa currently services around 80 children either in the ten foster homes they run on their property or in community foster homes. Their link is https://www.casahope.org/ Did you know that a baby can through over 250 diapers a month? That s over 15,000 diapers per a month for the children that Casa fosters. Our goal is to try to provide all of those kids with 6 months of diapers Can we do it Spartans?? This cause will directly affect the children. THEY need our help! Plus who doesn t love a little competition? The top three 3 rd period classes will win food parties (either Chick-fil-A or a pizza party). Please help and donate to this great cause! Save The Date: Kendra is coming! Get a start on your Holiday Shopping while supporting your school and your PTSA. Mark your calendars. We'll see you there!
