The new Big Bear Ice Arena will not only be home to players in Denver and the Lowry, but to visiting teams and spectators throughout Colorado and many out of state. Therefore, the impact of your advertising is far reaching, while in support of our participants. Profile The Big Bear Ice Arena is a new 98,000 square foot, state-of-the-art ice skating and training facility. The Big Bear Ice Arena features an two NHL size rinks which are fully accessible hockey, and figure skating. An outdoor rink for inline hockey, and roller skate. The facility also includes meeting rooms, concessions, Bar- Restaurant, Athlete Training facility, Choreography room, a retail pro-shop, and a party room. Over 450,000 visitors from the surrounding communities and states are expected to pass through the ice facility this Inaugural Year. Market The facility is home to the Front Range Amateur Hockey Association, the Colorado Thunderbirds AAA Hockey Club, the High School Hockey Club, the University Hockey Club, and the Big Bear Figure Skating Club. Skaters from different clubs will be skating at the facility three to four times per week from September through March, and many will be skating one or two times per week from April through August. The Big Bear Ice Arena will host summer ice camps, weekend hockey tournaments, and figure skating competition throughout much of the year.
The demographics of those who frequent the Big Bear Ice Arena is best described as boys and girls from ages 4 to 18, along with their parents. The families will, generally, come from upper income brackets with sizeable disposable incomes. These families tend to identify very strongly with their children s sports and are usually very loyal to the clubs and facilities in which their children play. Most families will be at the Big Bear Ice Arena for hours at a time, whether to watch a hockey game or practice, or a figure skating lesson.
