SERIES SHOWDOWN The Indians and Bats meet for the eighth of 25 matchups during the 2015 season; the tilt is also the eighth meeting in the last 15 days... Indy won in the bottom of the 13th during the most recent game at its home ballpark to snap a three-game losing streak in extrainning affairs with the Bats at Victory Field, a stretch dating back to July 4, 2014. ONE-RUN...FUN? Both games of Tuesday s twin-bill were settled by just a lone score, and the Tribe has now played in a league-leading 11 one-run games through 20 total contests... Indy is 6-5 in such games and ranks tied with Gwinnett (6-4) for the league lead in wins in one-run games this season. THE OPENING ACT The Tribe plated the first run of the game in both ends of yesterday s DH and currently ranks tied for second in the IL by scoring first in 11 games this season... Indy is 7-4 when plating the first run and trails only Durham (12 games) for the most times scoring before the opposition this year. RISPY BUSINESS The Indians lineup recorded 113 at-bats with runners in scoring position through 11 games (including two seven-inning games) on the previous road trip, good for 10.2 AB/RISP per game... Including a combined 3-for-12 effort on the final game of the 11-game swing, the club hit.292 (33x113) with RISP over the road trip, which began on April 18. GOOD WOOD Blake Wood struck out two in the final inning in Game 2 and now ranks tied for first in the IL with six saves in six attempts... He has allowed just one run in 6.1 innings when a save is on the line (1.42 ERA) and recorded 11 of his 19 outs via strikeout in save situations. EAZZY DOZZIT Steve Lombardozzi has hit safely in 14 of 17 starts this year, leads the team with seven multi-hit efforts and is pacing the Indians batters with 34 total bases... In addition, Lombardozzi currently ranks second in the IL in doubles (nine), third in batting (.379, leader is Bats Ivan De Jesus Jr,.409), tied for third in extrabase hits (nine) and fourth in total base hits (25). WHEN IN ROME...RO Deibinson Romero is tied for the team-high hitting streak (also Lombardozzi) with a base knock in each of his last eight games...
