Prince Phillip Cup Winners The Covered Bridge Pony Club Gummi Bears rocked - they took first place at the Prince Phillip Cup Games competition held in Lexington, KY April 21-25 at Rolex 3 Day Event. Prince Phillip Cup brought together the top four USPC junior games teams from the 2009 East championships held in Lexington, Virginia and the West Championships held in Auburn, Washington. Oteka Brab Scholarship The Oteka Brab scholarship goes to the highest rated CB Pony Club high school senior graduate(s) going on to college. This years award goes to Emma Pridham who was clever enough to be the only C-3 or above graduate. New C-3 and B Members Congratulations C-3 Pony Clubbers: Shelby Wietham, Mackenzie Spaes, Andrea Glazer, and Molly Jayes. Also to new B members Emma Pridham and Noelle Varga. These testing's are two and a half days and are conducted by National Examiners. The candidates riding abilities on the flat and over fences are tested as well as bandaging and longeing skills. Pony Club members who achieve a B rating are permanently noted in the National PC directory. 2
This year s Pony Club Rally was unique. Due to the World Equestrian Games in September at the Kentucky Horse Park, 2010 Rally Results Rally was at different venues and different time frames. Combined Test and Show Jumping Rally were held at the Kentucky Horse Park in June. Eventing Rally was the end of May at the Hoosier Horse Park as part of the Indiana Eventing Association Horse Trials. W G a P w t T i Eventing Rally - Hoosier Horse Park CBPC sent a Beginner Novice Team and a Training Team. There were no other Pony Club teams so it was a friendly competition among themselves. They carried the CBPC team spirit and competed well individually. The Beginner Novice team in order of finish: Katie Hill, Mary Peabody Camp, Morgan of Keenland Pony Club, and Emma Burch. The Training team in order of finish: Andrea Glazer, Mackenzie Spaes, Molly Jays, and Kaylen Strench Show Jumping Rally - Kentucky Horse Park Covered Bridge had a lone rider in Show Jumping Rally. Natalie Incorvia attended with a composite team from other Pony Clubs. All rode well for a team finish of 4th. 3
2010 CBPC Combined Test Results The annual Covered Bridge Pony Club Combined Test was greeted by perfect weather, until the very end. Stone Place Stables was again a generous host and we thank them for their continued support of the CPBC fundraiser. Many thanks to all the volunteers who made the show happen! CONGRATULATIONS RIDERS: Covered Bridge trophies are awarded annually to the highest placing Junior Pony Clubbers. Oteka Brab Trophy: Emma Burch - Junior Starter Oteka Brab was the owner of Prospect Horse and Rider tack store. After closing her store, Oteka very generously donated the remaining of her store inventory to CBPC. This has been a valuable source of fundraising for CPBC. Missy Trophy: Aisling Carroll - Junior Beginner Novice The Missy Trophy is from the Gerbino family to honor their mare, Missy, who carried any kids to Rally over many years. Joy Post Bennett Trophy: Kaylen Strench - Junior Novice The Joy Post Bennett Trophy honors our founder Joy Bennett Chris Bennett Trophy: Carrie Salmon - Junior Training The Chris Bennett trophy is given in remembrance of Joy Bennett s son, Chris. 4

2009 Christmas Awards Banquet The girls had fun and the food was good. Pony Clubber of the Year and CB Championships were awarded after dessert. 2009 PONY CLUBBER of the YEAR: this award is given to a member who has personified the giving spirit of Pony Club by supporting their club through participation in our activities plus contributing time to help other members during the year. The award for 2009 was presented to Bailee Hodelka - pictured with her mother Kelly. CB CHAMPIONSHIPS: These awards are determined through a point system that rewards participation in Quiz, Combined Test, and Mega Rally at each rating level. The 2009 awards went to: Liza Ragan (D2), Jackie LeMastus (D3), Emily Dohrman (C1), Mackenzie Spaes (C2), and Madeline Hundley (C3). 7
