Since this is the December version of the newsletter, Brenda and I first want to wish you all a very happy holiday season So.. Was that a great Southwestern nationals or what? WOW! Starting with the tour on Thursday, Dave Bennett and Jim Stubert lead some 200 cars from west world to start the November 2011 tour. They were met at the first stop by another 30 or more cars already parked and people were already in the facilities. That s just what happens, no way to do much about that. Anyway from here on into the tour a phenomena occurs each tour. The count drops off and after lunch it s down to 100 cars which ends up as 70-80 cars for the kick off party. Again this is just what happens, maybe were planning too much for one day? Friday at the show was amazing, 2000 cars is my estimate, a great Friday by any ones standards. I spoke with a few of the vendors and business was doing well, better than March for a Friday morning. Saturday was huge, it got a little tense from time to time on the The Prez Sez field as cars circled to find a spot. By 12 pm or so it was really full on the field and the parking on top was filling up quickly. Gate traffic was flowing well. Gang; you nailed it! All the duties on Saturday during the entry and parking frenzy were managed by you guys with great results. I am amazed we managed that horde so well. Congrats! Good-Guy staff was very appreciative of how smooth it went. That s all because of you guys! We fed a lot of people at the Saturday buffet, Thanks Linda and staff, another great lunch. Sunday was much lighter than Sat but still a good turnout. Again we managed the entry and special parking smooth as silk. Just great results. The Awards also went good, or as Bill Goodwill said : Perfect Besore, Just perfect. Again that s all because of you guys! Our new people and prospective members got up to speed in about 3 minutes and were looking like seasoned veterans in 6 minutes. Thanks to everyone, thanks for what you do, and thanks for doing it so well!
