Competition center The event center is located in the heart of Linköping, at the park Trädgårdsföreningen GPS-coordinates to the Arena. GPS: WGS 84: N 58 24.385', E 15 37.307 All runners should gather in the quarantine zone and are not allowed to visit the Arena before the start. Parking The parking for runners is located outside Folkungavallen in Linköping on a gravel surface. GPS-coordinates to the parking. GPS: WGS 84: N 58 24.217', E 15 37.783 Driving directions will be posted from the intersection of Drottninggatan and Hamngatan in central Linköping. Parking fee: SEK 20 Follow signs to the quarantine zone. Distance Parking Quarantine: 400 m Competitors are not allowed to visit the Arena on the way to the quarantine. If you are planning on arriving in a large bus, this must be reported to Jonas Lundgren (tel: +46738043866) in advance. All cars must be removed from the parking area after the competition. Spectators (cars without participants) should use public parking areas in Linköping due to limited event parking spaces. Embargoed area The marked area on the map below shows the embargoed area for Silva League stage 5. The area is strictly embargoed and participants are not allowed to enter the area before the competition. Click on the map to show the embargoed area in a larger format.

Entry information Entries should primarily be made online through Eventor. Last day for registration is Sunday 22 nd April. Entry fee is SEK 200 ( 25). Participants that represent a non-swedish club must pay the entry fee in advance. Please transfer payment to Linköpings OK. Last day for late entry is Tuesday 1 st May at 23.59. Fill in your SI card number when registering your entry, otherwise a rental card (SI-5) will be reserved for you. The cost to rent a SI card is SEK 20 ( 2.5). This fee must be paid in advance or at the pre-start. Lost rental cards will be charged at SEK 250. Rental SI cards can be found in the participant s envelope. Quarantine The quarantine zone is located at Tinnerbäcksbadet in Linköping GPS-coordinates to the quarantine. GPS: WGS 84: N 58 24.348', E 15 37.692 The quarantine opens at 14.30 and check-in closes at 15.30. All competitors must be in the quarantine zone by 15.30. Competitors that are not present will be excluded from the competition. Runners are not allowed to visit the Arena before the race. This also applies for coaches that wish to visit the quarantine. Mobile phones and laptops are strictly prohibited in the quarantine zone. Each runner will get a personal participant envelope with numbers bibs (not in all classes), baggage tag, warmup map and other information. Warm-up area is inside the quarantine zone which is surrounded by a fence. Toilets and indoor changing rooms are available in the quarantine zone. Baggage should be marked by each competitor and placed at the marked zone. The baggage will then be transported to the Arena where it can be picked up after the race. No specific transportation of warm-up clothes. Start lists and final details will be available. Some refreshments and sport equipment will be available for purchase in the quarantine. GPS tracking Selected runners in the classes W/M 21 Elite will be assigned a GPS tracking device. A list of the selected runners will be published on the event homepage and will also be available in the quarantine zone. GPS device + vest should be picked up at the latest 15 minutes before call up to the timed start and not earlier then 1h before the competitors start time. Note: Personal GPS devices with display or audio feedback are not allowed in the WRE classes W/M21 Elite and W/M21 Elite 2.

Start First start is 16:00 The pre-start is inside the quarantine zone. Competitors shall report at the pre-start 10 minutes before their start time. Clear and check of SI card will be done before leaving towards the timed start. The distance between pre-start and timed start is 600 meter. Follow orange/white tapes. At the timed start, competitors shall report to the call up line 3 minutes before their start time. 2 minutes before start the competitor may pick up the control description. 1 minute before the start time the competitor may advance to the map box labeled with the correct class, without picking up the map. The map may be picked up at the starting signal. Distance to starting point: 110 meter Start lists A maximum of 40 participants in each class. Subclasses (E2, E3 etc.) will be created depending on the number of entries. Selection will take place according to the rules of the Swedish Orienteering Federation (SOFT) and the International Orienteering Federation (IOF) for the WRE-classes. The start list will be drawn on Wednesday May 2 nd and published shortly thereafter on the event homepage and in Eventor. Cancellation Participants withdrawing from the competition shall notify the organizers before 12.00 on the day of the competition. Reserve runners A reserve list will be created for all main classes and W/M 21 Elite 2 after the start list has been drawn. The list will consist of 15 runners for each class. Insertion of runners from the reserve lists will be done from 14.30 in the quarantine when collecting the participant s envelope Number bibs Number bibs shall be worn by all competitors in the main classes and shall be visibly placed on both chest and back. Bibs can be found in the participant s envelope. Do not fold the bibs. Sponsor logos must be visible.

About one-third in each terrain. Good to excellent runnability. Reduced in the forested area. Moderately hilly terrain with some steep slopes.

Size: A3 Special map symbols: X = Hut, play equipment O = Barbeque Forbidden areas All competitors shall respect forbidden areas marked on the map and not enter or cross these areas. Some forbidden areas and passages will be marked in the terrain with blue/yellow tapes for clarification. Clothing All competitors should wear clothing covering the whole body except for head, neck and arms. Punching system Sportident. SI card 5, 6 and 9 can be used. If you haven t registered a SI-card, there will be one reserved for you (SI-5). The cost to rent a SI card is SEK 20 ( 2.5). This fee must be paid in advance or at the pre-start. Lost rental cards will be charged at SEK 250. Rental SI cards can be found in the participant s envelope. All controls have at least two SPORTident units. Competitors finish time will be taken from punching at the finish line. Traffic Traffic exists in the competition area. Traffic guards will be present but be careful when crossing a busy road. Results Preliminary results will be published at the Arena. Final results will be published on the event homepage and in Eventor after the competition is finished. Online coverage GPS tracking of selected runners in the classes W/M21 Elite. Online results and speaker sound streaming will be available on the event homepage. Changing rooms and showers Changing rooms indoors in the quarantine. Showers indoors at Folkungavallen. Follow signs from the Arena. Note: It is not allowed to return to the quarantine zone after the race nor talk to competitors that have not yet started.

Toilets In the quarantine zone and at the Arena. No toilets at the timed start. Refreshments Some refreshments will be available for purchase in the quarantine. There is an existing café at the Arena called Tropikhuset. The café will be open during the competition and competitors and spectators are welcome there. Medical care Medical care will be present at the Arena. Sport equipment Löpex Sport will sell selected sport equipment at the Arena (special offers). A limited assortment of sport equipment will be available for purchase in the quarantine. Prize-giving ceremony The prize-giving ceremony takes place at 19.30 at the Arena. Top 6 in the main classes and the winners of the sub-classes will be awarded prizes. Spectators The best place to follow the competition is at the Arena. Spectators can also watch the competitors out on the course. Maps are sold in the information tent at the Arena. Press There will be a press-tent at the Arena. All other classes follow the rules of the Swedish Orienteering Federation (SOFT) and specific directives for Silva League. Complaints or protests Any competitor who wishes to make a complaint should go to the information tent to discuss the matter with the organizers. A complaint shall be made within 15 minutes after the last results have been published. If the complainant is not happy with the organizer s decision he/she can raise a protest. The protest shall be made in writing no later than 1 hour after the organizer has announced the decision about the complaint.
