the programme. GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS: 1. Entries: Closing date of entries Entries close on Tuesday 1st March 2016 2. Grade Open Classes (Show Jumping) Grade Open Classes for adults will e divided into three height groups: 1.35m, 1.40m, 1.50m+ (The adult 1.30 category is fixed and no movement etween grades is allowed) Horses will enter this section & will each day declare as to whether they will compete in the 1.35m, 1.40m or 1.50m+ Classes. Riders who fail to make this declaration will automatically e entered in the class that was entered on their entry form or the SASJ wesite. Declarations for all classes susequent to the first day must e made in writing within 30 minutes of the conclusion of the last linked class of the day. If no declaration is made the horse(s) concerned will remain on the same level (i.e.: 1.35m, 1.40m or 1.50m+) as the previous class. Classes will e linked and horses may only compete in one of the linked classes. 3. Horse Inspection Show Jumping All Adult Open horses (1.35m 1.50m), Junior 1.30m, must report to the Horse Inspection area on 23 rd March 2016, at 14.00pm. Children Riders 1.20m & PR 1.10m & 1.20m Horse inspections will take place on 18 March 2016 at 14.00pm. Please note: Up to date passports must accompany horses. Competitors will e fined should there e any omissions or errors in the horse s passport. 4. Sampling for Prohiited Sustance Horses and/or Riders in any Discipline or Grade may e tested for prohiited sustance 5. Passports All Competitors must have their horse s passport (up to date) availale at the event for inspection at all times. 6. African Horse Sickness & Equine Flu: (Government Notice no. R254/6/2/97) a. All horse must e vaccinated annually with a live AHS vaccine produced y Onderstepoort Biological Products and must e administered strictly according to the recommendations as per the package insert. Horses inoculated etween 1 Feruary and 30 June of any one year must e re-inoculated y a registered veterinarian within 12 months from the date of that inoculation. Horses inoculated etween 1 July and 31 January in any year must e re-inoculated y a registered veterinarian during the same period in the following year. All horses returning / travelling to the Western Cape must e inoculated y a registered veterinarian strictly according to the requirements of that area. All horses must e accompanied y a SAEF or FEI Group IX passport, numer to e included on the entry form and certification that the AHS and Equine Flu vaccines have een administered and are valid, must appear on the Horse s passport. Other evidence of the inoculations will not e accepted. c. Horses which do not comply with the aove may e refused permission to compete and can e asked to leave the showgrounds 7. Prizemoney A minimum of 60% of entry fees (excluding levies) plus sponsorship for all PR, CH, Junior Rider & Adult Open Jumping classes. All other classes a minimum of 40% of entry fees (excluding levies) plus sponsorship. 8. Grades 2

JUMPING - HORSES OTHER THAN ADULT (OPEN 1.35m, 1.40m & 1.50m) & PR (1.10m & 1.20m) MUST REMAIN IN THEIR HEIGHT LEVELS AS STIPULATED IN THEIR ORIGINAL ENTRY. 9. Dress Competitors are required to e correctly dressed at all times, Riding Jackets ARE to e worn. No Provincial or other T/Golf Shirts will e allowed. No Dressage waistcoats will e permitted. 10. Competition Rules Unless otherwise stated, all classes will e run under the applicale FEI, and specific discipline rules. 11. Memership & Registration All owners & Riders must e memers of, and all horses/ponies must e registered with the discipline in which they wish to compete as well as the SAEF. 12. Parades & Displays Except in circumstances where special dispensation has een otained from the Show Director, competitors must take part in any parade or display or Prize giving. Failure to do so may result in forfeiture of any Prizemoney, Grading/Qualification Points and/or Trophies. 13. Comining, Restriction or cancellation of classes The organising committee in consultation with the discipline Representative reserves the right to comine, handicap, divide or cancel classes should this e necessary, always provided such amendments are not in conflict with the rules. Where necessary, classes may e restricted to qualifications. 80% of entry fees will e refunded should the classes e cancelled due to inclement weather conditions. 14. Staling Brick Staling will e availale at KPC. Staling will e availale at R175 per day/night. Staling is limited and will e allocated on a first come first serve asis. Initial edding will e provided. Competitors from outside Gauteng will receive preference, thereafter staling will e allocated at the discretion of the Organising Committee. Stales must e vacated y 12 noon on the last day of ooking, failure to do so will result in a R500 fine. Please note that only horses competing at the show will e accepted for staling. 15. Protests & Appeals As per FEI and SASJ General Regulations. As well as DSA rules and SAEF General Regulations. 16. Responsiility The FEI, specific disciplines, KPC, SAEF, The Organising Committee any Sponsors and/or Officials shall in no way e held responsile for any damage, loss, theft or injury sustained y owners, riders, competitors, memers or the pulic or any other person or their property whatsoever. 17. Pool Selection PLEASE NOTE-ALL RIDERS WILL REMAIN IN THE POOL THAT THEY HAVE BEEN NOMINATED TO COMPETE IN. NO CHANGES WILL BE ACCEPTED. DRESSAGE: A RIDER MAY ONLY COMPETE IN ONE POOL. 3

Victor Ludorum prizes will e handed out for each grade and will e calculated as follows: 1 st = 10 points, 2 nd = 9 points, 3 rd = 8 points, etc. Should there e a tie for 1 st place, the Athlete with the higher placing in the final class will e declared the winner. Winner takes all. R250 entry fee First come, first serve entries. Open to Junior & Adult 1.20m and higher competitors only. 16 Competitors in total. NISSAN SIX BAR EVENT ONLY OPEN TO ADULT COMPETITORS R15,000 prize money. Winner Takes All. R250 entry fee Open to 1.30 and Open horses. The last jump of the first round will e at 1.30m.
