Map: Kollerup 2017, 1:10000, 2,5 m A4/A3 size. Start: 1300-1500. Free start. All riders must be finish at 1630. Training Focus: Route choices. Distance parking start: Max 500 M. Max time: Controls will be taken in at 1630. Important notes: Expect many riders driving all over the place, so stay to the right. Take care of others using the forest. NO TOILETS. MTBO camp training 28/04-2017 in Kollerup Route choice / Interval training. Ride your route choice as an interval with full speed and concentration. The course length is almost 18 km (direct line) with 20 controls. Map scale is 1:7500. Map size approx. 30 x 31 cm. Control 14-20 is on the backside of the map. For the best result, do the training in groups of three persons, with nearly the same speed and MTBO skills. On each leg, there will be three different route choices. The different route choices are marked on the map (for example between control 1 and 2 2L, 2M and 2L). L stands for left, M for middle and R for right. The riders needs to pass the line (and number) drawn on the map, on the way from one control to the next, to follow the given route choice. Even if the course setter has decided which main route to take, you still have to make some choices.

Notice: The course starts at control no. 1, which means you just ride together from start to the control. From control 9 to 10 and 12 to 13 (marked with a blue line on the map) there is no alternative route choice. I suggest you ride 8 to 10 as one long interval, and the same from 11 to 13. From control 7 to 8 and from 19 to 20, there is only marked two (-R and -L) route choices on the map. The course stops at control no. 20, which means you just ride together from that control. How to decide which rider takes Right, Middle or Left route choice? The rider who comes last to a control, makes the first choice for the next control (and decide when to start), no. 2 makes the second choice and the fastest one takes the last route choice. Be smart and don t take the same route choice away from a control, as you did to the control. It s just training If you want to cut parts of the course away, the course is: approx. 13.5 km, if you stops at control no. 15. approx. 7.3 km, if you stops at control no. 8 approx. 14.8 km, if you start at control no. 5 approx. 11.7 km, if you start at control no. 8 Remember to ride at the right side of the road and look up, especially the last part to a control and the first part from a control. The forest is not that big, and there will be riders all over. Good luck. Jan
