National Saddle Clubs Association Happy Spring everyone! I hope you each survived our winter without too many problems. Enclosed in this packet you will find all of the entry information you will need to enter our 2014 Championship show in Buffalo, Wyoming. Please read each sheet carefully. A change we made last year was adding a signature sheet for release of liability. I m sorry for any confusion it may have caused, hopefully this year will run a little smoother with it. This form is a requirement from our Insurance company and MUST be signed by each participant or parent/guardian before a contestant may compete. If it is easier for you to send in more than one sheet with this information for each of your club members that is perfectly ok with me. I know many of us are scattered in different cities and towns from each other. We don t always see each other in person on a regular basis. However we can handle it to make it easier for everyone will be great. I personally am looking forward to our lighter schedule this year. I am hoping it affords me more time to enjoy each of you on a more personal level. Our Officer s and Directors labored over the decisions that were made for this year s Championship show, and a whole lot of thought went into the schedule and the events chosen to run. This is a year of change, and an exciting one at that. Our officers and directors are hosting the show this year. It is our hope by stepping up to this challenge that the NSCA will reap many benefits from this decision. Another change made this year is NSCA has taken on the concession stand in it s entirety. A big thank you to Mary Ann Jones and Maria Nyborg for taking on this daunting challenge. I am positive they will do a fabulous job with challenge along with help from all corners of the NSCA membership. Yes they will need your help! Please contact Mary Ann or Maria and offer your assistance with a shift or two in the concession stand. The term it takes a village keeps running through my mind. Proceeds from the concessions will directly benefit the NSCA and it s success with future events. Mary Ann would like to see a signup sheet formed, and commitments made to cover 3 or 4 hour shifts. Please contact Mary Ann : email: dkjones45@gmail.com Phone: (208)818-0417. Maria Nyborg: email: skipn@xl.net Phone: (406) 439-5988 Donations will also go a very long way in making our concession adventure a larger success. 40 lbs of beef have already been donated so we are off to a great start. If you know someone that can contribute, or someone that would like to sponsor the concession stand directly please let Mary Ann know. Sponsorships of any form are imperative to a successful year this year. Our sponsorship director Patsy Althoff will be able to help you decide how you can best help us in this area. Please contact her directly with any ideas, sponsor monies etc. It is definitely going to take each of us together (T.E.A.M.) to push the envelope and create success. One last change I am excited to tell you about is our banquet dinner change. Our dinner will be provided by the NSCA with donations being accepted by each of you. There will be a donation box set up when you are in line to be served up a fabulous spaghetti supper. Please contribute what you can to hopefully make this a new successful tradition for our banquets. A last note I want to add is a reminder to submit your entries for our photo cover contest. You may enter as many photos as you like for this contest each with a $10 fee. This fee goes directly to our general fund to assist with our day to day operations, or wherever else it may be needed. Send your entries along with your entry money to Kim McLaughlin 5836 Cd A River Rd. Kingston, Idaho, 83839. I look forward to seeing each of you in July. Until then stay safe and enjoy your spring endeavors. Kim McLaughlin

National Saddle Clubs Association, Inc. 49 th Annual National Championship O-Mok-See Johnson County Fairgrounds, Buffalo WY Entry Information All the information you will need to enter are available here. If you are not the person responsible for handling the entries for your Saddle Club for the National Show, please pass this information on immediately. Feel free to make copies of any of the forms. But the most important thing is to let your fellow members know you have this information because all entries need to be postmarked by JUNE 4, 2014. (Of course, the earlier the better) After that date, late fees for all events will be charged as explained in the rulebook. Many clubs have not paid the 2014 dues so I may not have current information for contacts. At the 2009 Annual Winter Meeting, the rule changes were made that contestants from a Saddle Club may enter under the Saddle Club once the club dues ($50.00) have been paid to the NSCA, and the required Dues ($100.00) have been paid to the NSCA. The Association Dues cover all Saddle Clubs that belong to NSCA for that state, as well as allowing the state 2 voting delegates at the Board of Directors and Officers Meetings held at the show as well as at the Annual Winter Meeting. NOTE: If you do not belong to a Saddle Club that belongs to the NSCA, you may compete at the Championship O-Mok-See by paying an Individual Horseman membership fee of $10.00. If you have any questions about this process, please don t hesitate to contact me. I am reminding the club secretary or representative to please send the entries, for your entire club combined with one check. All returned checks will be assessed a $30 fee plus bank fees. There is a sheet that has all the total fees due including entries, programs, rulebooks, etc. Also, if you are sending in entries for & Team events, please send only one entry blank with everyone on the team entered and pay for the entire team you are entering. This makes it much easier to handle the hundreds of entries that are coming in. Late fees will apply to all events, including Team & events, which have changes or additions after the June 4 deadline as stated in the rulebook. Another change from the last few years is that program changes cannot be made after Tuesday, with Sunday - Tuesday changes made the day prior to the event as in years past. Scott Galloway will be handling all the camping and stall reservations. The forms are posted on the website. www.omoksee.com If you have any questions, please let me know. Please share all the information with interested people in your club or surrounding area as soon as possible. We are looking forward to another successful National Championship Show and with all your help, we will. Looking forward to seeing you in Wyoming- Kim McLaughlin, NSCA Secretary 5836 Cd A River Rd.
