RULES The committee will not be held responsible for any Loss, Damage or Accident to any person, property or animal at the show. The Judges may ride at their own discretion without giving an explanation. The committee has the right to refuse any entries without giving a reason. Any animal that kicks MUST wear a red ribbon on its tail at all times. No horse under four years of age to be ridden. Owners, Competitors and Riders are under obligation at all times when mounted to ensure that they are wearing Protective Headgear complying with current safety standards. Body Protectors are advisable in Jumping Classes. Lead Reins must be attached to noseband in the Lead Rein Classes. No refunds for classes which clash. Any objections must be made as soon as possible at the Secretary s desk. A 10 deposit will be required but it will be refunded if the complaint is upheld. South West Equine Protection Membership Members Points Award Scheme When competing at our shows, you can get discounted rates for the classes by becoming a member of SWEP. Membership is annual and members can gain points towards awards which are given at the charity AGM in November each year. In order to qualify for the discount and points awards, members must: Produce their membership cards upon request from the Show Organiser or Stewards. Have paid their membership renewal fee Have not previously won a members award in the class, that year. New for 2014 You can now cherish the memory of your beloved pets by placing their name on our board which is located in the Café at Tall Trees. Please place a donation in the SWEP collection tin and take one of our memory rainbows, then fill in the name of your pet and attach it to our memory board. If you would like to place a larger item on the board such as a photo of your cherished pet, please speak to the Show Organiser first.
Additional Classes in the 2014 SWEP Show Schedule In hand Ring: Class 9 - Best Pony Not Exceeding 14.2hh Class 10 - Best Veteran New for 2014 SWEP now have Western Riding Classes: (to be held after the Ridden showing, Judge TBC) Class 22. Showmanship Class 23. Trail Class Class 24. Horsemanship Class 25. Pleasure These are to be held under Western Equestrian Society (WES) rules. The level of the classes will be decided on the day according to the level of the competitors wishing to enter. English riders are welcome to have a go at the Western Classes and all Western Riders are welcome to have a go at the English Showing Classes. It is requested if you ride English and wish to have a go at a Western class, that you remove your noseband and martingale, but you can still use English tack. Hard Hats will remain compulsory for ALL riders whilst mounted.
