Hope you have enjoyed the GMOT s so far as much as I enjoy making them, the more submissions I get the funnier and more embarrassing! TheGMOT@gmail.com is the email. The theme this week is St. Practice Day so get decked out in some green and drink like you re 100% Irish to get ready for March 17th. Plus, you get even more practice drinking because the best dressed team gets a $50 bar tab. While I shouldn't be offering kickball playing advice, I found some kicking advice on Yahoo answers so it must be legit. It might be helpful for you beginners or those that insist on popping out after your entire team just told you to keep it on the ground Also check out the best pictures and the seen and heard at WAKA!! Kicking Clinic 1. Run towards the ball as it is crossing the plate to gain momentum and can get to first faster. 2. DON T kick in front of the plate though, that becomes an automatic foul. 3. To kick a ground ball plant your non dominate foot and kick lightly with your dominate foot, while also keeping your body weight forward so the ball doesn't pop up. 4. Most girls kick down the third base line between the catcher and the third baseman and they can make it to first base in time. 5. DON T MUNT!!! If you are a guy in the Coconut League you cannot bunt, aka munting. Therefore, follow through with your kick and don t fake it like JOSH LEE! 6. The best way to kick a fly would be to have the planting foot be your aim. If you want to aim left than your going to set left and plant your plant foot aiming left. If you want to go center plant center, right plant right. Kicking right field is hard, especially those who kick right footed. The ball will likely slice most times. Best fliers are the low fliers where it's just high enough that it's out of the reach of the infield but drops fast enough so the out field doesn't get it. But that plant foot is important. 7. Fly kicks, plant where you want to aim, use the top of the foot to kick the ball. Need a lot of power if your going to clear the out field. Ball needs to be perfect, basically no bounces. To get the drop fly you want to toe kick it, but just below the sweet spot (middle of the ball). 8. Have fun and practice!! We have all fallen down while kicking, face planted while running to first, or even missed the ball entirely so don't feel bad (hint: this has all happened to the editor). 5

Seen & Heard at WAKA 1) BETTER THAN DRINKING & DRIVING?? Second week of kickball someone saw a couple passed out in the back parking lot near Boardwalk at 2am when it was 45 degrees out. 2) When I go fishing tomorrow I am going to jump on a swordfish and tell him to swim to shore at South Beach so that we can have him for dinner. Perfect! Email thegmot@gmail.com with more stories!!!! 9
