The CJGA World Junior Challenge, now in its 26th year, is one of the marquee events conducted by the Canadian Junior Golf Association. Since the inaugural teeoff in 1993, the CJGA World Junior Challenge has seen thousands of junior golfers, representing over 30 countries, pitted against one another in a friendly, yet competitive environment held at some of Florida s most prolific golf courses. This highly recognized event, held during the winter holiday season, December 27-30, offers Canadian and International juniors alike the opportunity to compete in an internationally ranked tournament while experiencing the culture of Florida golf. The CJGA World Junior Challenge is a stroke play competition that includes a Team Component representing golf federations, associations and academies throughout the World. Individual Stroke Play Championship In the CJGA World Junior Challenge, juniors will compete in their respective age divisions for individual honors. Individual Entries are $399.00 USD. Team Stroke Play Championship The CJGA Country/Academy Team Entry provides an opportunity for countries/academies throughout the world to engage in a team competition while each participant competes in the CJGA World Junior Challenge for the Individual Championship. Each CJGA Country/Academy Team Entry will have a male and female team component. Each team must consist of four (4) players with the three (3) best scores for each round counting towards the team total. Teams are required to have a minimum of three (3) players to compete. CJGA Country/Academy Teams can have multiple teams in the competition (example: Team Korea 1, and Team Korea 2). Male and Female Teams are not combined. Players on each team will also be included in the CJGA World Junior Challenge stroke play championship for individual honors. The CJGA World Junior Challenge will recognize the top two teams at the end of the event plus individuals in stroke play. Team Entries are $1500 USD. The tournament entry fee includes the best-ball tournament fee for the junior only. Parents wishing to play in the best-ball event are subject to a $99 USD entry fee. If the junior does not have a parent playing partner for the best ball event, the CJGA will pair the junior up with a tournament volunteer or another junior participant. Practice Rounds: Juniors and parents that are staying at the resort are welcome to play all the resort courses. Practice rounds should be booked directly with the Innisbrook Resort by calling 1-800-456-2000 and ask to be transferred to the Pro Shop. Spectator carts are only available to those who have a medical certificate. The CJGA Spectator Policy will be strictly enforced.
