The Green Ambassador School Zone is an area for your Green Team to share stories and photos, and to learn what others are doing to introduce sustainability into their schools. Your school can create its own page on the Green Ambassadors website to tell everyone what your Green Team is doing and connect with other schools taking part. As the volunteer and moderator, you will have the functionality along with the school teacher - to control how this school page looks. Step One - Visiting the School Zone: Every member of the team can help keep your school s page up to date. To visit your school s page, simple visit the School Zone website: schoolzone.wwf.org.uk/schoolzone
Step Two - Logging into School Zone: To begin sharing stories and learning what other schools are doing simply login into the secure School Zone website. Step Three Editing your School Page Volunteers and teacher users have the ability to manage and edit their individual school pages. To begin editing your School page simply click on the My School tab at the top of the screen and select the Edit button under the School heading. You can upload your own school banner design by selecting the Options Tab here. Your banner should be 920px X 130px in dimension. Use the administrative tool bar to add and feature content on your school page. Step Four - How to add a story to your school page: As a Volunteer, you are able to add a story to your school page at any stage. To add a story to your school s page, simply click on the Me tab at the top of the page and select the Make Story button under the Publish heading. Step Five Creating your story page: To add a story to your school s page, simply click on the Me tab at the top of the page and select the Make Story button under the Publish heading. Here are some ideas for things you could add to your school s page: Photos of your team s projects Videos showing the changes you re making Reports from your team meetings Information about projects your team is taking part in Posters or pictures you ve created
Give your story a title and a short description this is important to promote your story to others. Choose a file you want to upload and give it a name and description. This can be a photo, or a video, or even a song! Don t forget to choose which Zone you wish to publish your story in. This will help other ambassadors find your story more easily. If you need to add some text to your story add this in the text box below. Step Six Approving Ambassador Stories As moderator you will need to approve your Green Team s stories before you appear live on the School Zone website. You will receive a notification that will appear at the top of your screen. Notifications will be visible here. Simply access your notifications by clicking on the tick symbol and select the Go Live tab.
Step Seven Visit the Story Zones: Your newly created story will not only appear on your Green Ambassadors school page, but also in the School Zone s story library alongside all other Ambassador s from across the country. See what other schools are taking part and what they are doing to bring sustainability into their schools. Search all Green Ambassador stories by a particular Zone. You can view all stories relating to a particular Zone by clicking on the links available. Step Eight Keep visiting School Zone and adding more stories! The School Zone website is a secure area for you, your school and other Ambassadors to share stories, upload photos and learn from others. Be sure to visit the website as often as you can and don t forget to keep adding your school s stories!
