November 30, 2016 Dear Parents & Caregivers, We would like to send a very special shout out to all of our students and families that participated in our annual holiday food drive. This year we collected over 1700 cans/food items to give to needy families through Chosen 300 this holiday season. Kudos to Miss McGinley s 1 st grade class for bringing in 241 items!! WOW!! By our combined efforts, many families did not go hungry this holiday season. AFPCS Cares! Don t forget our Holiday Shoppe will be held the week of Dec. 12 th in both buildings. Buy something for those you love and support your school all at the same time! Notes for the School NURSE Don t forget to sign up for the Kinsa App and get your FREE thermometer. A reminder that dental screenings for targeted grades will take place in December. Don t forget to send in updated physical and dental forms. WE NEED THEM. Thank you to all those who have supported this longstanding PAB fundraiser; you have truly helped to put a big smile on our kids faces every week. There are some who are unable to purchase a pretzel on this special day so if ever you re able to, please send in a.50 or $1 donation so that we can help cover the costs to ensure that all those students who d enjoy this yummy treat are able to! Don t forget to cut out the BoxTop$ label found on many of the food products that you are already purchase and send them in with your child after every trip to the market! Let s keep raising the Box Top$ bar and taking advantage of this opportunity to help better our school! We re currently in immediate need of a volunteer to fill the position of PAB Treasurer. This person must possess a strong sense of integrity and team work, sound judgment, excellent accounting/budgeting experience, commitment to the PAB mission, and a desire to help PAB continue to serve as a vital member of the AFPCS family.
