SWS Option: Well Pressures PART NUMBER L-8531039779 The SmartMonitor can simultaneously measure, display and record depth and up to four different well pressures (for example, Control Line Pressure, Tubing Pressure, Inner and Outer Annulus Pressures). The choice for which pressure to display is easily configured. Even the Grease pressure difference with the Tubing pressure can be displayed. SWS Option: Stretch Correction (Corrected depth) PART NUMBER L-8531039742 The standard depth is uncorrected and is just the measured depth from a measuring head. Choosing the stretch correction option means the depth will be corrected based on a few parameters, such as tension, cable weight and magnetic marks (if available). SWS Option: MMD (Magnetic Marks Detection) PART NUMBER L-8531039743 Magnetic Mark Detection is used to correct depth measurement errors in Open Hole. The SmartMonitor is able to process the following different marking methods: Strong marks with weak marks in between Double marks with single marks in between Single marks The depth where the last mark is recognised is shown on the screen, and also the relative distance to the next mark. An overview of all identified marks is shown in the event viewer table.

SWS Option: CCL (Casing Collar Locator) PART NUMBER L-8531039741 The Casing Collar Locator (CCL) signal can be shown on the screen and recorded. The last collar depth is also shown, as well as the relative depth from the last collar. The CCL is used as a reference but is not used for correcting the depth. SWS Option: Pro-Active Safety PART NUMBER L-8531039766 This extra safety option offers the possibility to adjust the maximum pull of the wireline unit to slightly more than needed for the actual operation. This will limit the speed to a safe maximum, and to certain areas (including the surface area and total depth area). Sudden stops and starts will then be avoided. This can all be made even safer when combined with the software package RunPredictor (see well obstructions description below). Special hot spots in the well are identified and the wireline unit will lower the speed to a safe speed before these areas are reached. The speed increases again after the safe passing of that area. SWS Option: Run Predictor Interface PART NUMBER L-8531039762 (SmartMonitor) Well obstructions are identified and assigned in the software package RunPredictor. At any depth only the previous and the next obstruction are shown in the depth gauge. With the RunPredictor, maximum speeds can be set for those areas. The SmartMonitor will decrease the speed at the assigned depth to make sure that the speed is maximized for the whole length of the tool string in that particular area.

SWS Option: Run Predictor PART NUMBER L-8531041544 (SmartOffice) RunPredictor can simulate the wireline run. The tension profile is calculated over the length of the whole depth and the results of that simulation are uploaded to the SmartMonitor. The calculated tension window is shown on the SmartMonitor tension gauge. This is live, so as the operator moves the tool down hole, the tension will increase and the window will move, according to the simulation in the gauge. This feature gives the operator an extra safety tool. On the way down hole, big differences can be easily identified and this allows the operator to define major issues on the way back up hole. SWS Option: Constant Speed and Cruise Control PART NUMBER L-8531039753 Because logging tools are becoming more accurate and wells are becoming deeper, a stable speed is even more important: To improve quality of operation (logging) To ensure that the cable is handled correctly The operator can run at a certain speed and then press the cruise control button so the unit will maintain its current speed. A depth and speed setpoint can also be set; after the start command, the unit will accelerate the tool to reach the set depth at the set speed. The set points (shown on the screen as green markers) can be constantly reset. SWS Option: Constant Tension Control PART NUMBER L-8531039752 With the Constant Tension Control option enabled, the SmartMonitor maintains a constant tension range on the cable. This can be used, for example, when a combined logging and drilling operation is taking place. The SmartMonitor also has a built in automatic learning feature so that it can recognise the characteristics of the wireline unit. The tension set point can be changed on the fly and this is shown by a green arrow within the tension gauge.

SWS Option: Full Winch Control The SmartMonitor has the capability of controlling the whole winch. The engine and the generator can be controlled. The gearbox can be set from low gear to high gear by selecting Manual High (MH) instead of Manual Low (ML). This can only be done when the system is in a safe state. The brake will be applied automatically. All different parameters are just visible in the System View screen, but all the important parameters will be checked. So in case the coolant temperature is becoming the too high, the operator will be warned. This is the most advanced SmartMonitor system and allows the operator to use the screens to control everything, including: All winch functions Measure heads Lights Camera Cabin climate All relevant information for hydraulic winches and full electric winches will be recorded and is available live at any location in the world. This reliable, live information is very useful for pro-active maintenance. SWS Option: System Parameters View PART NUMBER L-8531039758 For the more advanced wireline units, a Number of technical parameters can be displayed and recorded. These include: Engine RPM Temperature Pressure Supply voltage Current Torque Brake status Many variables can also be displayed on different screens (depending on the type of wireline unit: full hydraulic, electric over hydraulic or full electric). All this information can be sent (live) to an office and can then be used to check the status of the unit, or to assist the operator with operations. SWS Option: Event Viewer The SmartMonitor has an event viewer to give an overview of the following: Users who have logged onto the system System events (such as a broken sensor, a user error or a power supply error) Different operational alarms Other This can be very useful for analysing and troubleshooting at a later date.

SWS Option: Acquisition Systems PART NUMBER Eclips L-8531041819 PART NUMBER Wafe L-8531041820 PART NUMBER Logiq and BM-Panel L-8531041821 PART NUMBER Signal Forwarding (KARAT/ONIX/KEDR) TBA The SmartMonitor has a number of different communication protocols to communicate with open hole and/or cased hole data acquisition systems. For example, down hole tension (cable head tension) can be sent from the acquisition system to the SmartMonitor. Depth, speed and tension readings can be sent from the SmartMonitor to the acquisition system or vice versa. SWS Option: SmartVideo PART NUMBER L-8531039746 This option allows you to display views from an IP camera. The camera is controllable (pan, tilt, zoom), and presets are also possible. Different cameras can be positioned for a clear view of the drum from different angles, the measuring head or the well site. These views (together with depth, speed and tension) can be processed, displayed and recorded, also within a redundant system. The video picture can also be transmitted to shore (see Real time visualisation and /or Remote control). SWS Option: Jarring Mode PART NUMBER L-8531039754 E-winches can be supplied with a special jarring mode to increase safety and accuracy. This works as follows: 1. The operator goes to a certain depth (jar tool in) 2. The operator then pushes a button and goes to the jar depth (jar tool out) The system then remembers the precise jar length and is able to jar at a desired (but adjustable) speed exactly between these two limits. The maximum tension is limited to the pre-set alarm value set in the wire package.
