Boards Surf All-around 9 9 Surf Amundson 11 3 Dedicated to surf, the 9 9 is designed with a fast wave rocker for early entry and down-the-line speed. The outline and rail shape draw from shaper John Amundson s experience with traditional longboards, with added width and volume for stability in the surf. With a 6.5 center fin and two capable thrusters, the 9 9 is ready for most anything the ocean can dish out. Built in our Custom Surf Epoxy (CSE) technology, the 9 9 has a full wood sandwich deck and bottom, for the proper flex and resiliency required to shred any wave. Our high-traction tail patch and kicker plate will come in handy when you re feeling in the groove, which on this board, is something you ll be getting very used to. The 11 3 is designed for well-balanced performance in a wide range of conditions. Intended to take you from entry-level flat water paddling to playing in the surf, the 11 3 offers good speed and stability with a taste of playful rocker and reduced volume for improved maneuverability. Best suited to paddlers up to 180 pounds, or those who want to cross-over into wave riding. Reduced volume makes the board quite light (less than 25 pounds), while increased tail rocker makes it easier to maneuver in flat water and waves. Epoxy AST construction provides the best balance of light weight, stiffness and outstanding durability. Specs: 11 3 x 29 ½ x 4 ¼ 160 liters, 24 ½ pounds Amundson 11 6 The 11 6 is designed for maximum flotation and well-balanced performance in a number of different conditions. Great speed and outstanding stability hint at this board s strengths. However, a little tail rocker and forgiving rails ensure plenty of fun for an occasional day in the waves. The 11 6 is the best all-around board for paddlers over 170 pounds, or as a family board for a number of different riders. Epoxy AST construction provides the best balance of light weight, stiffness and outstanding durability. Tour/Race 12 6 TR 12 6 TR-X TR stands for Tour & Race, and that is exactly what the 12 6 TR is designed to do. The 12 6 TR offers the type of blistering flat water speed and efficiency which will draw plenty of attention in the popular 12 6 racing class. Yet, unlike many specialized race boards, the 12 6 TR is comfortable, stable and eminently well-mannered. Each of these attributes help to make this board the ideal platform for touring as well. With its fine entry and pronounced V-shape, the nose cuts easily through chop for a smooth, fast ride. Vertical rails and a flat bottom offer clean water release and stability. Epoxy AST construction provides the best balance of light weight, stiffness and outstanding durability. The TR-X offers the same shape as our popular 12 6 TR, but in our exclusive CWS technology where a full carbon/ Kevlar bottom and wood sandwich deck shaves 4 pounds (1.8kg) off the weight! The TR-X offers the type of blistering speed which will draw plenty of attention (and perhaps envy) in the highly popular 12 6 racing class. Yet, unlike many specialized race boards, the TR-X is still stable and eminently well-mannered. With its fine entry and pronounced V-shape, the nose cuts easily through chop for a smooth, fast ride. Vertical rails and a flat bottom offer clean water release and stability. Exclusive CWS technology provides stiffness, strength and extraordinarily light weight. Specs: 12 6 x 29 ½ x 5 ¼ 247 liters, 28 pounds Shaper John Amundson When it comes to knowledge of boards and water, few designers have as much experience as board shaper John Amundson. A true waterman, John lives on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii shaping surf, kite, and SUP boards for some of the world s best riders. John brings 25 years shaping experience to the Aquaglide/Amundson line. Blade bags zip onto the blade, to protect it from damage. Air Vent. This vent is open to the core of the board. It must be closed when the board is in the water, so that no water gets into the core. It should be opened if the board will be subjected to high temperatures, or during any transport at high elevations, as this could cause delamination. But don t forget to close it again before use! In most climates, this vent can be left closed all the time. Molded epoxy fins. Versatile shapes that track and maneuver well. Fit standard longboard style finboxes, with fin-tab and screw. Tee shirts. Be sure to sport one of our SUP tees, to let everyone know where you stand! Bags. Padded boardbags shaped to fit our boards.
