SCOL ROCKS SWAIN ON GROUND HOG DAY Snow followed us to Swain Resort on Feb.2...Ground Hog Day... to highlight a fantastic day of skiing. Twenty three skiers made the trip on the bus and several drove to met us at the resort. We arrived at Swain to find 4" of fresh powder and the entire mountain open for skiing. We were almost the only ones skiing. Conditions were fabulous. Rusty & Pam wore Ground Hog gear for effect. Swain set aside the entire fireside lounge for the club. The ride home included Ground Hog beer from PA, the usual assortment of Keith Wallace s gourmet Jell-O shots, and a lot of laughs. Who knows.. it might become an annual ski event once again! Everyone had a blast. Linda O'Donnell Our bylaws require that a slate of candidates for the Board be presented to the membership at the February meeting and that elections take place before March 31st. Positions to be filled include President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Sergeant at Arms, and Communications Officer (all one year terms). Please consider submitting your name for nomination to any of these important positions. It is a great way to contribute to the future success of SCOL. STEP UP TO THE PLATE!
