NEW FORMAT National Pairs Final 2018 The qualifying stage of the National Pairs competition has been simplified by eliminating the club heats. Instead, anyone who wants is able to enter to play in one of the regional finals, held in a variety of venues around the country. These regional finals are scored across the whole country, in the same way as the Portland Pairs, and the top 50 pairs overall qualify to play here in this National Final, which retains its existing format. In addition, the five regions are scored separately for the purpose of awarding the regional trophies. Our intention was that these changes make it easier for those who want to play in the competition and thereby strengthen the field, but we would be happy to hear feedback from you or suggestions for further improvements.
