Calves by far made up the sale receipts and the cattle buyers loved them. The Douglas Lake Cattle Co. Riske Creek Ranch Division with a powerful liner load of 58 s/c Red & Blk Angus all preconditioned 441 lb raced to 210.00, their 609 lb s/c today saw 175.00, 62 hd of their first class 431 lb h/c today paced 169.75. The Douglas Lake Cattle Co. Alkali Lake Ranch Division today with 204 top calves. Their pen of 600 lb Char X s/c all pre conditioned traded to 181.00, their pen of 502 lb Char s/c raced to 200.00. A pen of their Hereford s/c top notch calves 409 lbs traded strong at 200.50 with 32 hd of their 506 lb Hereford s/c hit 188.00, their 451 lb h/c hit 196.00. The Gang Ranch today with another load of top calves. Their 48 h/c, 360 Blk Angus and fancy hit 207.50. 42 hd of their 423 lb h/c today raced to 200.75. Susan Langan from McLeese Lake saw her top 421 lb s/c notch 203.00, her heavy 626 lb s/c marked 169.00. Bruce & Linda McLean with top calves from Quesnel, their 568 lb Hereford X calves today hit 184.50, their fancy 380 lb s/c topped 226.00. The U2 Cattle Co. today featured 146 hd, their 477 lb s/c notched 195.50. U2 Cattle Co. s 854 lb Angus steers sold to 160.50. Scott & Janice Meyers s 1800 lb cows reached 83.75. KAMLOOP SALE DECEMBER 13 TH Well another excellent sale, a little smaller volume with 800 hd on offer. The mix was yearlings, calves and butcher cows and bulls. The Rey Creek Ranch started this powerful sale with young heifferettes topping 123.75, their big 1263 lb butcher cows marked 88.00. Ian & Bev Smith with big cows, 1441 lbs marking 85.75. Gary Andrews 1565 lb cows topped today at 89.75., their 2545 lb Charolais butcher bulls topped our trade at 112.50. The Frolek Cattle Co. today saw their 1120 lb young heifferettes trade to 115.00. A pen of their 995 lb open heifers today powered to 134.00. A pen of their 894 lb spayed heifers reached 159.75. Today the Douglas Lake Cattle Co. saw their pen of 882 lb open yearling heifers trade to 158.75. Warren McLennan put the fire to our calf trade with 620 lb Red Baldie s/c today marking 177.00. Vale Farms saw their 651 lb Red s/c sell to 172.00, their 595 lb s/c rolled to 180.00, while the 693 lb s/c sold to 147.25 and the 627 lb h/c brought 150.00 and the 535 lb h/c sold to 167.50. Their pen of 1488 lb butcher cows today topped our overall trade at 91.25. Balmoral Farms 561 lb Angus h/c traded to 160.00. Roberta Moses from Merritt saw their 793 lb Angus s/c top 153.00. Earl Joe from Merritt with a top pen of Blk Angus h/c, 451 lbs hit 189.00. The Shulus Cattle Co. with big heavy calves today saw their 752 lb s/c today raced to 171.75, their 439 lb h/c today saw 182.50. The Deanfield Ranch big good heavy 1371 lb Hereford butcher cows hit 87.50. The young three year olds raced to 112.50.
