First Step Program Senior Hockey Coaching Program Cairns Representative Coaching Program Coaching Development Directed at volunteers new to coaching Junior Coaches Community Coaching Accreditation Ongoing Mentor Support Program Outcome Work with clubs to identify minimum 4 Prep parent/coaches to obtain community coaching accreditation to support skill development programs from the start Directed at Club Coaches who have coached for 2 or more years Mentoring and Support Program Level 1 accreditation Possible Progression into representative coaching pathways Outcome Work with clubs to identify 4 club coaches in secondary/senior programs to obtain level 1 accreditation and encourage rep coaches to complete min level 1 accreditation Specialized mentor and support program for representative coaches Game Strategies Player Management Competition Management Athlete Engagement Outcomes Delivery of a mentor support program as part of the representative caches program must include some form of upskilling to ensure broader understanding of Talent Pathways Progression

First Step Program Senior Officiating Support Program Cairns Representative Officiating Program Officiating Development Directed at umpires and officials new to the game Community Officiating Accreditations Junior Umpiring Program Mentor and Support into Junior Rep Programs Support the Aspire Program Outcome Junior Umpires Program is delivered with mentor and training support included min 10 participants Directed at umpires wanting to umpire and officiate at A and B Grade HQ Mentor and Support Program Level 1 accreditation Local Mentor and Support into Rep Programs Outcomes Collaborate with HQ mentor program and focus on minimum 4 umpires for this program Selected officials are invited to participate in higher level officiating program Underpinning mentor support Role Models and Ambassador Program State Champ support Create the officiating resource Outcomes support pathways for minimum 4 umpires per year

2019 Representative Program High Performance Advisory Group will oversee this area and RCD responsible for its delivery. OUTCOMES Build Representative Capacities across playing, coaching and officiating Mentor Support Program through Cairns Regional Hockey Academy Look to increase competition results through the mentor support and training program Work to obtain a travel and accommodation program that balances coaching and managers requirements with affordability Build in a budget for appropriate training times Review how we manage kitty Clarify Hockey Qld s championship rules Coordinate nominations, selections, preparation and participating in state championships Managers Championship Booklet with all information including acquittals 11. Cairns Regional Hockey Academy REVIEW AND RELOADED HOCKEY ACADEMY SEE SEPARATE PRESENTATION Aim is to increase the skill base of players, coaches and officials This supports the building of sustaining capacities This supports the increasing Quality of the local and regional competition This supports the pathway programs and increasing the number of Cairns representatives in Queensland teams and squads Provide specialized skills such as Goalkeeping, Drag Flicking Provide specialist and higher quality coaching for our more talented athletes Provide additional specialist mentor coaching for coaches who have attained representative standard Provide added opportunities for skill development for identified groups Drive Programs to deliver these outcomes including Leap Program

Facilities and Event Hosting Delivering the $2.7m facility improvements Aligning with the Master Plan apply for additional Facilities Funding for ground floor of the existing clubhouse Negotiations with Council around perimeter fencing and replacement pitches in a 5-8 year cycle Being active in bidding for events Potentially creating our own event to support representative pathway Aligning with Sports Tourism and Northern Australia Policy and Strategies Coordinating the impact on 3 events in 2019 and working to minimize disruption Being actively involved in the Northern Australia Barra s conversation to bring these Sports Tourism, Events and Facility together for economic impact longer term
