Registration Guidelines 3 LIABILITY FORM -Form must be on file for each participating student. CHOOSING YOUR CLASSES -We offer group/private/semi-private swim lessons. -Schedules posted at the facility and on our Facebook page one week prior to registration for next session. -Swim assessments are provided the Tuesday before registration. Assessment times are posted at the facility and on our Facebook page one week prior to assessment day. REGISTRATION -Registers open at 0600; registration is first come, first served. -Customers are advised to come in as early as possible. You can register over the phone with a liability form on file; however, we could be serving customers that are in the facility and you may be placed on a phone queue. -Waitlist: Should your class be full, we do have a waitlist available. Class placement is not guaranteed. PAYMENT -USD Cash, Visa, Mastercard or American Express. -If registering by phone, payment must be by credit card. -Must be paid in full at time of registration. -Please contact a staff member or visit our web page to find out more about our refund policy.
4 Group Swim Lesson Descriptions Parent and Child Aquatics (PCA) Ages 6 months-3 years The purpose of Parent and Child Aquatics is to teach safe behaviors around the water and develop swimming readiness by leading parents and their children in water exploration activities with the objective of having fun and becoming comfortable in, on and around water. Parent must accompany child to each class. Level 1: No skill prerequisites, this is a beginner course. Level 2: Must have passed PCA Level 1 Preschool Aquatics (PSA) Ages 3-5 years Preschool Aquatics aims to promote the developmentally appropriate learning of fundamental water safety and aquatic skills by young children. Preschool Aquatics teaches aquatic and safety skills in a logical progression through three levels of courses. Each level includes training in basic water safety. Level 1: No skill prerequisites, this is a beginner course. Level 2: Must have passed PSA Level 1 or have been assessed by an instructor. Level 3: Must have passed PSA Level 2 or have been assessed by an instructor. Learn-to-Swim (LTS) Ages 6-15 years Red Cross Learn-to- Swim consists of five comprehensive levels that teach people of varying ages and abilities how to swim skillfully and safely. All aquatic and safety skills are taught in a logical progression. The objective is to teach people to swim and to be safe in, on and around the water. Each level includes training in basic water safety.
The five levels include: Level 1: Introduction to Water Skills: No skill prerequisites, this is a beginner course. Level 2: Fundamental Aquatic Skills: Must have passed LTS Level 1 or have been assessed by an instructor. Level 3: Stroke Development: Must have passed LTS Level 2 or have been assessed by an instructor. Level 4: Stroke Improvement: Must have passed LTS Level 3 or have been assessed by an instructor. Level 5: Stroke Refinement: Must have passed LTS Level 4 or have been assessed by an instructor. Adult Swim Lessons (Ages 15+) Lessons are in a group format with the instructor teaching basic aquatic skills and swimming strokes, to include front crawl (freestyle), breaststroke and elementary backstroke. Participants also learn skills and concepts needed to stay safe around water, in addition to those needed to help themselves or others in an aquatic emergency. Private Lesson Descriptions Private Swim Lessons (Ages 3+) Our certified instructors are able to tailor lessons based on your personal goals. New to swimming or training for swim team, we can help you. This option is for all skill sets from beginner to stroke refinement and more. Semi-Private Lessons (Ages 3+) Looking for a deal on swim lessons? These lessons are catered to two individuals of similar skill set. 5

7 Private Lessons Private lessons are offered during most registration weeks and occasionally during group lesson sessions. Private lesson sessions will be advertised in advance and registration will be available the week prior to the class start date. For further information, ask about private lessons at our front desk! Swim Lesson Group & Private Class Format GrOuP Four Week Sessions = Two days/week either Tuesday and Thursday or Wednesday and Friday. Two Week Sessions = Four days/week Tuesday-Friday. PriVatE/SEMi-PriVatE Six days at 30 minutes each lesson. Four days at 45 minutes each lesson. Swim Lesson Tips -It is normal to repeat levels. Every child learns at a different pace, and some of the skills may require more time to learn. -Support your child by praising his or her effort in the pool. -Ask the instructor which skills your child should review and make practicing at home or at your local pool fun! -Swimming fees are required in order to swim before and after lessons. -Supervision in the facility is required for swim lesson students. -Keep household information updated.
