Page 2 of 8 President s Report The ANZAC weekend in conjunction with the Pack Get Together was a hugh success and once again I would like to thank both Kol Kajanto and Kev Couzner for all the work they put into the weekend. The Tribute to the Military Working Dogs at the Dog Lovers Show in Melbourne was also a hugh success. RDHA and AWAMO events still to come for 2016. War animal memorial at Roma. New RDHA Merchandise Proposed that the RDHA Committee restock the RDHA Merchandise. Also the Purple wristbands sold at the Dog Lovers Show in Melbourne were a big hit. The Sydney Dog Lovers Show will be on the 6 th and 7th August 2016. It was decided that the purchase of the following go ahead: 100 RDHA Lapel Pin Badge 100 RDHA Lapel Pin Crossover Purple Ribbon with Poppy 200 RDHA Stubby Coolers 200 RDHA Wristbands 1m strip Defence Medal Ribbon car stickers The caps are on hold while Keith Pearce checks out the embroidery business in Toowoomba. The K9 badge is to be re-designed by for approval. Members behind in subscriptions There are nine members behind in their subscriptions and it is recommended that an email or letter go out to those members that are behind. Names are withheld. Pozieres, France Propose that the RDHA purchase an engraved double paver for the Pozieres Animal Memorial Park in France. The inscription will be at the Committee s discretion and is to be for all past, present and future Military Working Dogs. The double paver will have the RDHA logo engraved on the paver as well as the writing. Item 6. RDHA Number Plates for Queenslanders. Proposed by Peter Hutchinson. Just a thought and this will work well for any ex or current doggies in Queensland. Personalised number plates for the "Royal Australian Air Force Dog Handlers Association. Here is the link. https://www.ppq.com.au/community After looking up the link, there is a setup cost of $385 then if you buy 1 to 9 plates they are $495 each. A grand total of $880 for one plate. If two people get plates they would split the cost of the Setup by 2 and so on for 3 to 4 byers. eg: 1 sets of plate = $880 2 sets of plates = $687.50 3 sets of plates = $623.33 4 sets of plates = $591.25 etc Moved: Terry McMullan Seconded: John O Loughlin that the committee has decided that the cost of the numberplates are too expensive and that the proposal, although very good idea, be rejected and accepted. Item 7. Up-Dating the Honour Board and Passed Doggie Board at RAAFSFS. Proposed that the two boards at RAAFSFS be up-dated to reflect the current committee members and passed doggies. Presentation of Community Awards to Committee Members. Trish Thomas nominated the RDHA Committee for the McPherson Community Awards from Karen Andrews MP. Trish presented the Awards to Keith Pearce and Terry McMullan on behalf of Karen Andrews MP. Keith Pearce and Terry McMullan accepted the Awards. The two other Committee members, FSGT Michelle Halliday and Kim Hodges will receive their Awards in coming weeks. The Committee would like to thank Keith Pearce for opening his home to the RDHA committee and members that attended and for the great snacks and lunch supplied. There being no further general business after asking each member present at the MC meeting was closed by the President at 1200hrs.
