The books weighs in at over 400 pages and the type is small. Gary holds nothing back as he talks about his start in the business, the characters he met along the way and his insight into booking, as well as the history of some of the places he worked, particularly the Dallas-based World Class Championship Wrestling. It would be difficult for me to properly review this without echoing the praise that others have already given it. So let me just chime in with the chorus - this is the best pro wrestling book ever written. If you are a fan of Hart's or a fan of pro wrestling in general from the last 30 years this book offers amazing insight into virtually every major star and a TON of the major events that have happened in wrestling in the last 30 years. Now granted you won't hear a ton about Hulk Hogan or WrestleMania and its not that those aren't significant, but let's face it, those stories have been told. If you have a deeper interest and want to hear stories that haven't been told about people like Bruiser Brody, the Von Erichs, the Freebirds, Gino Hernandez, Jim Barnett, Ric Flair, Sting, Great Muta, Kabuki and a ton more, this book is invaluable. Learn about the booking of the first Starrcade in 1983, the tools Bruiser Brody used to make himself valuable to promoters, the plane crash that killed Bobby Shane and nearly killed Gary Hart and Austin Idol, lots of insight into the Von Erichs and more. Elite level wrestling book, but good luck finding it By Anonymous No doubt about it, this is easily one of the best wrestling books ever. Like Bret Hart's book, it's long (lots of pages and smallish text) and full of detail, as his whole career is covered in-depth, plus he says plenty about other things like his booking philosophy. Unlike Bret Hart's book, you can't find it. Anywhere. There were two short print runs of this self-published book to avoid overstock, and it took a lot of convincing to get them to do the second one. The book rarely shows up on ebay and then it goes for close to $100. Hart's son has avoided questions about reissuing it as an ebook and/or print on demand hard copy.
