Teams ranked in the top 25 are No. 2/2/3 Alabama, No. 5/7/6 Florida, No. 7/5/5 Arkansas, No. 10/9/8 Vanderbilt, No. 19/18/18 Georgia and No. 22/23/25 Texas A&M. Other SEC appearing in the GolfWeek/GolfStat rankings are: LSU (28/30), Tennessee (31/31), Kentucky (32/35), South Carolina (38/44), Auburn (39/43), Mississippi (51/55), Mississippi State (59/61) and Missouri (60/60). AGAINST THE FIELD THIS SEASON Auburn has faced all 13 SEC institutions in tournaments this season, compiling a 22-20-1 mark. The Tigers own.500 or better records against seven teams. THE COURSE The Greystone Golf Club Founders Course is a par-72, 18-hole private course located in Hoover, Ala. Bob Cupp designed the Founders Course. The course will play at 6,050 yards for the tournament. THE WEATHER Weather is expected to be good through most of the 54-hole tournament. Friday is predicted for a high of 67, low of 52 and a 30% chance of rain. Saturday should have a high of 74, low of 48 with a 10% chance of rain. Sunday s final round is expected to see a high of 76, low of 55 with a 10% chance of rain.

AUBURN AT THE SEC CHAMPIONSHIP Auburn recorded their ninth SEC Championship title in 2012, their third in last five season (2011, 2009). Auburn s back-toback titles in 2011 and 2012 were its first since back-to-back titles in 2005 and 2006 (2003, 2000, 1996, 1989). Head coach Kim Evans has been part of eight of the titles. Auburn has had five individual champions in the tournament, including Margaret Platt (1987), Diane Rama (1989), Marci Clemons (1996), Danielle Downey (2000), Maria Martinez (2006) and Patricia Sanz (2012). In 20 seasons, the Tigers have captured nine conference championships - more than any program during that span - and never finished worse than 10th. In addition, Evans has coached four former Tigers to individual SEC crowns and 31 other golfers to top-10 finishes. SEC TOURNAMENT AT THE GREYSTONE GOLF CLUB This weekend will mark the second year for the SEC Championship to be held at the Greystone Golf Club in Hoover, Ala. The Greystone Golf Club is set to host the 2013-2016 SEC Women s Golf Championship. AROUND THE SEC Marta Sanz enters the SEC Championship as the No. 11-ranked golfer in the conference, by stroke average, with her 73.21. Sanz is one of three Auburn golfers ranked in the top 40, followed by Victoria Trapani (74.67) at 33rd and Diana Fernandez at 38th (74.84). Alex Harrell is 49th (75.33) and Clara Baean is 68th in the SEC (76.33). Jamie Yun is just behind Baena in 69th (76.36).

LEADERSHIP ACROSS THE BOARD All five players in Auburn s lineup own scoring averages in the 70s and have demonstrated the ability to shoot low and lead the team in tournaments. Throughout the season all five players have carded top-25 finishes, with Marta Sanz medaling for the second time in her career. Sanz leads the team with the lowest stroke average of 73.21, three top-10 finishes and six sub-par rounds. TRAPANI, AUBURN FINISH IN THE TOP 10 AT COUGAR CLASSIC The Auburn women s golf team took eighth place at the 11th Annual Cougar Classic, carding rounds of 295-295-291 to finish 17-over-par for the tournament. Junior Victoria Trapani led the Tigers in the final round with a 1-under 71, finishing the tournament tied for 10th. SANZ TIES FOR FIFTH AT AT MASON RUDOLPH The Auburn women s golf team finished in seventh after carding a 6-over 294 in the final round of the Mason Rudolph Championship, ending the tournament at 21-over 885. Senior Marta Sanz led the Tigers as she locked up her first top-five finish of the season. AUBURN TAKES 10TH AT TAR HEEL INVITATIONAL The Auburn women s golf team took 10th place at the Ruth s Chris Tar Heel Invitational Sunday, ending the tournament with rounds of 291-299-296--886 (+22). The Tigers put two players in the top 40 with Diana Fernandez leading the team in a tie for 27th. AU TAKES 11TH AT STANFORD INTERCOLLEGIATE The No. 24-ranked Auburn women s golf team finished 11th at the Stanford Intercollegiate, ending the tournament with rounds of 294-295-295--884 (+32). The Tigers were led by junior Victoria Trapani in the final round after shooting a 1-under-par 71. TIGERS OPEN SPRING SEASON AT GEORGIA INDIVIDUAL TOURNAMENT Sophomore Alex Harrell tied for first as the Auburn women s golf team completed play at the Lady Bulldog Individual Playing Championship in Athens, Ga.Harrell fired a two-round total of 147, finishing 3-over to tie for first with co-medalist Chessey Thomas of Tennessee. Both players played a one-hole playoff which resulted in a tie and were deemed co-medalists. Each player fired a 75 in the morning round, before completing play with a second-round even-par 72. AUBURN FINISHES FOURTH AT LADY PUERTO RICO INVITATIONAL The No. 29 Auburn women s golf team saved its best round for the final day of the Lady Puerto Rico Classic as the Tigers shot 7-over 295 to finish fourth overall with a team score of 27-over 891. SANZ WINS, TIGERS TAKE NINTH AT ALLSTATE INTERCOLLEGIATE Auburn s Marta Sanz carded a 4-under 68 in the final round of the AllState Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate in New Orleans giving her an 8-under 208 three-day total for her second career individual win. The Auburn women s golf team finished 9th as a team at the three-day tournament. AU FINISHES 15TH AT DARIUS RUCKER INVITATIONAL The Auburn women s golf team carded a 9-over 293 on the final day of the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate, finishing the tournament with 47-over 899 and a tie for 10th. TIGERS BEAT ALABAMA, FINISH FIFTH AT THE LIZ MURPHEY COLLEGIATE CLASSIC The Auburn women s golf team knocked off ninth-ranked Alabama, 3-2, in the final round of match play, earning a fifth-place finish overall at the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic. SANZ SISTER LEADS SPAIN TO GOLD Auburn senior Marta Sanz and former Tiger Patricia Sanz led their native Spain to the 2013 European Ladies Amateur Team Championship Saturday at the Fulford Golf Club in York, England. After second-place finishes the last two years, the Spanish national team pulled out a 5-2 win over Austria in the championship match for the win. MARSEE SELECTED TO HALL OF FAME Former Auburn women s golf coach Bud Marsee was selected to the 2013 class of the Golf Coaches Association of America Hall of Fame.
